Anyone know of a cruelty-free affordable dupe for this foundation? Or if you have suggestions for a hydrating foundation for very dry skin types that still lasts as long as a matte, long-wearing foundation (I.e like the L’Oréal infallible or Milani 3-in-1 perfecting foundation)? I absolutely need full coverage and something smudge-proof, sweat-proof, and long-lasting but more friendly for someone with incredibly dry skin.

Curious if any of you very dry skin ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary folks have used the barrier balm as skin prep under makeup and how it layers? If so, what kind of foundation did you use over top (I.e water based, silicone based, oil based)? I need a full coverage, matte foundation as the dewy and hydrating products don’t cover my acne and slip off my face in a millisecond but with my skin being so incredibly dry the makeup just clings to dry patches and separates no matter how I prep my skin. I purchased this as a nighttime product but was intrigued by it potentially helping prep my skin for makeup as well. Let me know your thoughts and personal experiences! Thanks!
