I’ve seen some people squeeze out so much product that it seems quite wasteful.  I tend to be quite conservative with how much I dispense and I always use it right after.

Sometimes I get a bit of oil cleanser in my eyes and it clouds up my vision a bit.  I hope I’m not doing any damage by leaving them in.

FYI: How to earn points

I really wanted to like this cause it was more on the pricier side for 50ml of product but after using it for a few months, I didn’t see any changes with my skin. I was hoping to see an increase in hydration or other anti-aging benefits this serum claims to have but I didn’t.

I also don’t like the smell. It does contain Bergamont oil, which is my fault for not noticing.

This K-beauty Blithe pressed serum is a hybrid between a serum and moisturizer. It comes in a  plastic jar and includes a small spatula. The serum has a thick gel texture and an interesting brown colour, almost like caramel, which comes naturally from the highly concentrated, cold pressed, Chunga Mushroom Extract. It also contains Argan and Olive Oil.

I tend to use this on days when I feel like cutting back on time and want to keep things simple. After I apply my toner, I use this to seal in the moisture. It’s pretty light weight and absorbs well.

❌ I don’t like the smell of this.  It smells like male cologne.

✅ Review:
I got a sample of this cleanser and really didn’t like it at first cause it felt very stripping during the winter.  Once summer came around and my skin became more oily, I really started to enjoy using this more.  It has a light gel texture that foams nicely and I don’t need to use a lot  to create a gentle lather.  I usually wake up with a thick layer of grease on my face and this cleanser does a good job at removing that.  It rinses easily and skin feels really clean without the squeaky feel afterwards.

Once I rinsed the cleanser, my skin felt tight and stripped.  It leaves a squeaky clean feel, similar to cheap bar soap.  I definitely notice a residue on my skin, which didn’t feel right.  I can’t use this cleanser for this reason.  I gave it to my mom and she likes it a lot and feels that it makes her skin really clean.

I got this Senka cleanser after hearing it’s the top selling cleanser in Japan!  The cleanser comes in a plastic bottle with a flip cap that’s very convenient.  The texture of the cleanser is thick, white and creamy.  With only a small amount, like the size of a grain of rice, I can work the cleanser into a rich, foamy lather.  The texture is different from all the other cleansers I’ve tried.  It feels like I’m massaging a rich, luxurious cream on my face.  I really enjoy this cleansing process cause it just feels so nice!

It also has a mild scent and I usually don’t like fragrance in my skin care but this didn’t bother me at all.  The bottle is 120g and lasts a really long time, so definitely good value.

This serum is so greasy. I can’t use this during the ‘serum step’ or else my moisturizer won’t sink in. I have to treat it like a face oil.  

According to the label, the serum should be used within 3 months once opened, which is incredible short.

This serum is probably one of the cheapest retinol serums out there.  It comes in an glass amber dropper bottle and contains 0.5% Retinol in a water free solution. It also has Squalane and Jojoba seed oil.  I like that it’s fragrance free.

❌ This essence contains essential oils that stings my face sometimes.  I can’t use it on days when my skin barrier is damaged.  I didn’t notice any improvements with the firmness or texture of my skin.  Overall, it feels like a pricey, moisturizing essence that I don’t think I would buy again.

✅ Review:

I’ve been using this essence for a few months now and quite enjoy in on days when my skin is feeling dry and need a boost of hydration. The texture is quite thick and leaves my skin feeling moisturized, plumped and supple.  It’s not sticky at all.  I have oily skin and find it feels a bit heavy for the summer during the day when I have to wear sunscreen but it’s great for the winter and evenings. 

I like that the essence is rich in peptides and contains Vitamin E encapsulated particles that burst when I apply it on my skin.  It doesn’t feel abrasive at all.  The essence is also lasting quite a long time and I still have lots of product left.
