Last year, there was a big scandal of Purito Centella sunscreen not meeting its stated SPF 50+++ and being only about SPF 18 from lab reports.

Because of that many other Korean brands’ SPF products got recalled including my favorite Klairs UV essence 😢

Do you still trust and buy SPF products from Korea now? I’m from US so wondering if I should just buy SPF from US? But I like Korean products’ texture though.

Maybe all Korean SPFs are now more cautious and won’t let it happen again?

***I avoid alcohol in my sunscreen as it is known to be harsh to your skin. That’s why I  stopped using Biore.

Do you buy Korean SPFs less because of the scandal?

When I was having pretty major pimple issues, Vitamin C was a major game changer to me. It faded my redness and post pimple pigments.

Now I think hyaluronic acid, AHA and BHA are my must have ingredients in my skincare. I feel like Vitamin C doesn’t give me as significant of an effect as it used to. Probably my skin has become resilient to Vit C.

What ingredients are your game changer?

Skincare or makeup is fine. It’s so hard to know which ones are pregnancy safe and which ones are not. I don’t want to have to individually go read through the list of ingredients..

Has anyone have skin treatments before that show great, significant, visible results?

I’m in my late 20s and have never done any skin treatments apart from facial masks. I am a religious skincare user so I don’t really have big issues or concerns I want to target from the treatments. But I’m in my late 20s and going into 30s in some years so I want to do some preventive treatments that will tighten my skin (got my puffiness on the sides of my nose) and make me have glass skin .I’ve heard about micro needling, ultherapy, inmode, thermage? I’ll bear with the pain if needed🥹 


I don’t know where to ask about these because I’ve seen all over internet and that there are also scams so since Picky is where I feel safest with skincare recommendations, I thought I’d ask here. Greatly appreciate any experiences or opinions!🥰

Korean Skin Treatments at Clinics

💆🏻‍♀️The texture is a creamy whipped cream. It’s a little thicker end of consistency but goes on very creamy. High coverage to full coverage but I apply small amount with wet sponge to get a thin natural looking layer. This is a very dewy finish foundation so even if it’s high coverage, it’ll still look natural and skin-like. It makes my skin looks so flawless and even after sweating many hours, it still looked very flawless!!!🩷

💆🏻‍♀️Hemish Bb cream comes in a tube with a pump that is super light to carry around.

I didn&#39;t feel like it&#39;s doing much when I finished the whole bottle. It maybe great for sensitive skin but, my skin is resilient and used to AHA, BHAs so this didn&#39;t do anything for me. I feel like the whole Cosrx line is too mild for my skin.

This product is a vicious serum so it&#39;s hydrating. It&#39;s also very very gentle so it&#39;ll be great for sensitive skin or those who are starting off with chemical exfoliants like BHA.

The cushion is a net cushion so the inside may get a bit messy.

Nice hydrating base makeup. There’s a lot of foundation in this cushion. A little goes a long way. The packaging is super cute!

If you don’t like a sheer color or you only wear opaque lip products, then this might not be for you.

This is the most lightweight tint I’ve ever used my entire life. It is more on the sheer side rather than a thick, creamy opaque color. But the sheer color still shows up very well on my lips and it feels like im not wearing any lip products.

Very moisturizing and actually long lasting. The balm is not the shiny slick tyoe but actually like a thick cream type. Texture is a bit similar to vaseline but not as oily like that. It really helps my cracked lips and leaves a beautiful natural flush of tint. It smells amazing too like sweet. My holy grail lip balm!
