💭Thoughts: I am LOVIN this cream. This is a new holy grail for me. It’s moisturizing, lightweight, non-scented, absorbs effortlessly and gives a subtle dewy glow. I can use this in the AM and PM because it’s so lightweight! My skin feels so nourished and happy when I use this. Also, it was fun decorating my bottle. 

Great for all skin types, including sensitive, that want a solid moisturizer with a lightweight texture

review: rovectin lotus water cream x picky

Hi all! I recently had the opportunity to try a few Rovectin products (courtesy of Wishtrend) and wanted to share with you. 🥰

Rovectin is one of my all-time fav brands. I love that Rovectin is rooted in love and in resilience. Rovectin began when a brother simply wanted to help his sister restore her severely damaged skin from chemotherapy. Rovectin has grown to developing high quality skincare products with restorative qualities and ingredients inspired by nature. 🤍

💦Rovectin Clean Marine Micellar Deep Cleansing Water💦 - This has strong cleansing power to remove dirt, oil, pollution and makeup from your skin. It contains 7 different layers of Hyaluronic acid to provide hydration to your skin. 

💭: I recently ran out of micellar water so this came in clutch. I use this whenever I do eye makeup. It is gentle (doesn’t sting eye or cause irritations) and removes all impurities where oil & water cleansers don’t. And, the bottle is HUGE.

💦Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser💦 - This is a gentle, low-pH, hydrating cleanser. It safely washes away daily grime without stripping your skin of its protective moisture barrier. 

💭: Amazing cleanser!! 👏 It does everything that it says. 

💦Rovectin Activating Treatment Lotion💦 - The skin’s moisture barrier is strengthened with Rovectin’s hydrating Barrier Repair Complex™ and your facial line is toned through caffeine, a natural de-puffing agent. 

💭: I found this to be misleadingly labeled as a lotion bc it feels more like a thick toner or thin serum. I love that this is hydrating, toning and soothing but I don’t like that it dries tacky because it makes everything I layer on top feel tacky too. Apart from the tackiness, it’s perfect.

I’m most likely going to be buying more Rovectin this holiday season to use and gift. 😆🎁

I received this product for free from Picky and SUR.MEDIC in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first time hearing about glutathione so I googled it. 

I found a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial that had 30 healthy adult women (ages 30-50) apply topical glutathione on one side of the face and a placebo lotion on the other side twice daily for 10 weeks. The conclusion was that topical glutathione is safe, brightens, increases moisture content of the stratum corneum, suppresses wrinkle formation and improves skin smoothness in healthy women. 😮👏 Citation below. 📚

Ofc, this is a small sample size and more studies are needed. But, this convinced me of all the amazing things this ingredient has to offer! 🤩

🔑Key Ingredients: witch hazel water, glutathione, niacinamide, ascorbic acid, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, cica

🔍Claims:
- Highly enriched with fresh Glutathione and Vitamin ingredients, which instantly illuminates and brightens dark, dull skin
- Moisturizes skin with Hyaluronic Acid and helps restore the firmness of skin

💭Thoughts: 
Tons of superstar ingredients. This cloudy white viscous serum feels amazing on my skin and makes it appear smooth and hydrated (dimethicone, an emollient, is the 2nd ingredient on the ingredient list!). This dries minimally tacky.

Each box comes with 10 syringes. One syringe can be split into two uses or, if you layer it on, you can use it all up in one go. Package after opening is 12 months but I used each syringe in one go. In fact, I just used up all 10 syringes.

After 10 uses, my skin did not brighten. This serum does give a nice glowy look though!

The worst part about this is the packaging. So❌Much❌Plastic❌Waste❌ Each syringe + cap is made of plastic and individually wrapped in plastic. 👎

This smells fresh and clean like clean laundry. For my sensitive folks, this contains essential oils.

Overall, great serum for a temporary glowy look but the packaging needs a major eco-friendly revamp. I only got 10 uses out of this! 🥲 I would prefer a large glass dropper bottle bc, according to the study, I need to use glutathione twice daily for 10 weeks to see results. 😂

When I first opened this, I was turned off by the strong scent. This contains essential oils and fragrance. Since then, I’ve gotten used to the smell a bit but would prefer the smell to be toned down or removed if they were to remake this. The smell disappears after a minute or so.

Due to the scent, I prefer the @makeprem_global watery gel cream instead which has no smell.

💭Thoughts: This is a nice hydrating cream that absorbs well and doesn’t clog my pores. This contains alcohol but I didn’t notice any negative side effects from it. Dries non-tacky.

🔑Key Ingredients: 85% cica, ceramide, matricaria flower extract, hyaluronic acid
🔍Claims: soothes the sensitive skin that gets irritated from external environment
💭Thoughts: This essence is such a beautiful green tint. It’s hydrating, cooling and soothing. Slightly viscous. Absorbs quickly. No irritations. Faint citrusy scent. Love the ingredients. Dries like it was never there. As for the packaging, I adore the minimalist dropper bottle, which is made of glass & is recyclable.

🔑Key Ingredients: 85% cica, green tea, houttuynia cordata extract, rosemary leaf extract
🔍Claims: soothing, healing relief to your exhausted skin
💭Thoughts: Love soaking my face in this stuff!! This feels like water so it absorbs quickly. Because the texture is thin and my skin is dry, I apply multiple layers on my face for maximum hydration. Fantastic ingredients. No smell. No irritations. V soothing and refreshing! And, this toner bottle is HUGE. I’m going to thoroughly enjoy using it all. 😎
