Currently looking to switch from retinol to retinoids (edit: retinal) but I'm not sure where to start. Please drop your recommendations and I'll be eternally grateful ❤️ currently I've just been using Somebymi's retinol and was thinking of shifting to Cosrx

💭Thoughts:
I was really excited to try this moisturiser because I’d heard so many good things about Skintific and the ingredients in this moisturiser sounded perfect for my goal: getting glass skin. The first thing that caught my eye was how cute and pink both the box and tub are! Aside from my love of pink, I also love that the tub was clearly well thought out - it comes with an inner lid AND a spatula that sits comfortably on top of the lid which makes it convenient and hygienic.

This is such an amazingly lightweight gel moisturiser. It glides on smoothly and melts instantly into my skin, leaving it cool, soft and moisturised. I especially love the cooling feeling as the weather has been obscenely hot at times and I really felt refreshed each time I applied this gel. After using this for several weeks, my skin is soft, hydrated and ✨️glowing✨️The best part is this is so long-lasting and my skin doesn’t feel tight or dry at any time of the day after use. There is also no sticky or tacky feeling after application.

Retinol is a very strong ingredient and needs to be used carefully. Those with sensitive skin (and as a general rule) should start out with a small amount and slowly increase the amount over time. I'd recommend an adjustment period of:

1st week: once every 3 days
2nd week: once every 2 days
3rd week: every day

For me, I've been using this for a few weeks now and sometimes when I spread/dab on the cream to an area that I haven't used this cream on it starts to sting. 

Other important things to note:
🚩 Be careful when mixing with AHA, BHA, Vitamin C
🚩Can cause sun sensitivity ➡️ use it only at night or make sure to apply SPF on top if using in the daytime

Tip: layer on your usual skincare routine on your arm and leave it for a few hours to see if there are any adverse reactions
Sandwich method: apply a layer of moisturiser, then a layer of retinol then another layer of moisturiser to reduce risk of sensitivity

Retinol Intense Triple Action Eye Cream by @somebymi @somebymi.official_my 

After having seen so many reviews and promotions on this, I caved and bought it. Claims to
✨️ reduce fine lines/wrinkles
✨️ brighten dark circles
✨️ firm up your skin

Even though it's called an eye cream you can use it on targeted spots. Personally, I've been using them on my under eye area and also smile lines. 

Retinol as an ingredient is also known to unclog pores. Since I have milia (little clogged pores that show up as dots) this was my main reason for using this and I really saw quick results. After just a week, my tinier milia disappeared and I do feel that my under eye area has plumped up. 



The slightly slimy feeling at first touch might be a bit off putting to some but honestly there's nothing bad about this

I was really excited when Mizon first launched this and I’m so happy I was able to get my hands on this! It took me a while but I eventually realised that Tremella is actually Snow Fungus, an ingredient I love in traditional Chinese desserts! Snow fungus has long been regarded as a natural beauty ingredient because of its high collagen content and one of history’s most beautiful women, Yang Guifei was said to have consumed this regularly for its beautifying properties!

The toner itself is slightly more viscous than water and is slightly slimy at first touch but melts into water and is absorbed quickly and easily. As it glides on my skin, it leaves a cooling sensation and leaves my skin soft and smooth. It’s so hydrating that I don’t even have to layer it twice and even after using it for only two weeks, my skin is visibly plumper and clearer. This is also a great product for those with sensitive skin as it is alcohol, fragrance and oil free so if you’re in the market for a new toner, definitely check this out.

💭Thoughts:
This arrived just in time for me to empty my previous propolis serum and at first I wasn’t too sure how this would work. It’s clear, viscous but watery texture made me think it was just ordinary water but even after just the first night of applying this, I woke up to plump ⭐️radiant⭐️ skin. I kid you not when I say I wake up every day to glowing skin since applying this for just over a week now. I also love that despite its viscous texture it does not leave a tacky feeling and is absorbed super quickly. Since the main base is hyaluronic acid, I mist on some water on my face either before/after application to ensure the HA has water to draw into my skin for maximum 📈hydration efficiency. 
This serum would also work great for those with sensitive skin as it’s alcohol and fragrance free 😍😍😍

💭Thoughts:
I was super excited to get this because not only is it reef friendly, white truffles contain 6x more effective antioxidants than propolis which make this perfect for combating sun exposure and ageing!

This sunscreen is super lightweight and has a nice, cooling effect that instantly relieves my skin from the burning sun. It spreads easily and absorbs quickly (although my video doesn’t do it justice thanks to the extra moisture/seawater making it glide off). I also love the light, dewy finish that doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy/greasy even after multiple layers of reapplication.

It’s important to note that as this is a chemical sunscreen so while there is no white cast, you should avoid sun exposure until at least 20 minutes after application.
