I had read about people doing this, so I decided to give it a go. I have a dry, itchy scalp but without the dandruff side of things and using a facial oil cleanser on my scalp has been AMAZING! I can now go days without having to wash my hair and my scalp doesn't itch at all. I don't use a conditioner either, I just use "it's a 10 +keratin" and then a basic hair oil after showering. It really has been a game changer for me. It's also been very good for my hair and it seems less brittle and has more shine to it.

Have you tried this and seen any results?

Has anyone else never tried, or waited a long time to purchase The Ordinary products? I purchased my first 3 products from them today, even though I've been into skincare for over a year now! I'm just surprised I never did. (I personally just think they were constantly talked about and hyped that I didn't want to.) If you haven't yet, or waited a while, why do you think you did so?

I've been reading a lot into moisture barrier damage which I thought was a lot of my problem, but I'm thinking it might be more...

I have very dry/sensitive skin. I have been using nothing but moisturizing and calming ingredients, but after a few hours my face starts to feel tight again. I fly for a living so that doesn't help. I've been doing so much research on dry skin but everything I use seems to just helps for a short while.

Even the skin on my body is getting worse. I've been getting little red, itchy bumps on my neck, legs and arms. Also around my elbows I've developed scale-like dry patches.

I'm at the point where I'm definitely going to talk to a doctor about this, but I was just wondering if anyone else was struggling like this? I've done some research and am thinking I may be having dermatitis/eczema issues? If anyone else is/has been dealing with a similar situation as myself, and you are willing to share your story, I would love to hear some advice you may have.

Once again, I am 100% going to talk to a doctor about this, but it will be at least 6 weeks before I can go, so I thought I would reach out on here.

More than just damage?

I have dry/sensitive skin. But I also have whiteheads/blackheads/cystic acne/hormonal acne/enlarged pores/PIE. So not only do I already have severely dry skin, I fly for a living which makes my skin very dry. I've been focusing more on building my barrier back up, but now I'm scared to start using actives or anything really to help with my acne issues. I use a Vitamin C serum in the morning (with sunscreen of course) and luckily it's rated as a holy grail for my skin, but what can I do to help my active breakouts? Thank you!

This essence has such a luxurious texture. I use a 3-skin method due to the dryness of my skin. I&#39;ve noticed a positive difference in my skins barrier as well as calming of redness and acne that I have since using this for about 1-2 weeks. No strong scents, fantastic ingredient, feels luxurious. Great for those with oily and dry skin as well as an sensitivities. This essence really showed me what essences are about and how they are supposed to differ from toners.

I didn&#39;t notice any added benefits with the added PHA. It just seemed like a basic oil cleanser. Did irritate my skin with all the essential oil in it. I&#39;ve already moved on to another oil cleanser and will not be repurchasing.

I like the consistency. Emulsifies and removes makeup and sunscreen nicely.

It does feel a little sticky after application, but that tends to go away after a short time. Does take patience before seeing results.

Great vitamin C serum for those with sensitive skin, which means it does take time to see results because it is more mild. I have noticed my skin tone starting to even out about 2 weeks in now.

UPDATE: VERY IRRITATING. With my dry&#47;sensitive skin, I prefer to use an oil cleanser in the morning and it definitely created some redness and irritation around my nose and chin. It doesn&#39;t really emulsify but it does somehow wash all the way off. Works well when using as a first cleanse at night as long as a second cleanser is used after. Will probably finish this bottle but not repurchase.

It&#39;s a great price. The consistency is very different and cool. Breaks up sunscreen and makeup very well. Does what a basic cleansing oil should do.

Did not find that &quot;wow&quot; factor I was hoping for. Especially for such a pricey product, I thought it was just okay. Will not be repurchasing.

Very hydrating and nourishing. Did not irritate my skin.
