Hi, babes💕I wish for recommendations on a cleansing oil. It’s a part of Korean skincare I had not embraced, for I have oily skin and don’t wear makeup on a regular basis, but I started to read about it and make sense of it, and I’m just so overwhelmed by all the products I don’t know which one to pick. 

I saw this reel of two very popular cleansing oils on Instagram, and their performances, which made me even more indecisive because these were among my options.  Anua came a little shorter, but Heimish wasn’t flawless either. So, if you guys would please recommend one that’s non-comedogenic and does the work, that’d be great. Thank you🥹💕

Cleansing Oils.

Hi guyssss so I’m almost running out of my current morning hydrating toner and I’d like some recommendations because I’d like to try out one I haven’t tried before (preferably Korean). I’m tagging the ones I’ve tried so far, the first one is the one I’m currently on. Thank you!!!

I would like a recommendation on products that you feel have a decent amount of chemical exfoliants (acids, enzymes, etc.) and that will really make a difference on resurfacing and cell turnover. Preferably something Korean XD thank youuuuuuuu!

I still have to use this product for a bit to judge on whether or not it provides results, but so far I don’t see many changes. Although, to be fair, my face isn’t hyper-pigmented majorly. Also, for those who mind, this product is fragranced, and it contains alcohol, which I can smell and feel, as well as limonene, which tends mildly irritate some people’s skin, so it’s a fair warning. 

Laneige Radian-C Brightening Treatment Essence is a product that claims to brighten, hydrate and smooth the skin. It’s good for all skin types, formulated with a vitamin c derivative and many antioxidants from berries to act as an anti-aging product as well as a protectant. It also contains caffeine to help with dullness. For a vitamin c product, it is extremely lightweight, which I love because stickiness has kept me from using vitamins c products for a while. It also doesn’t redden or bothers my skin, which is usually really sensitive. 

I have to say, the sunscreen does leave a bit of a white cast that will be more noticeable the darker your skin tone is, but to me personally that is not a big deal because the way my face feels afterwards makes up for it. Thank you Picky and DR.G for allowing me to review these amazing products.

This is my review for set A: the Brightening Peeling Gel, Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream, and Mild Up Sun SPF 50+ PA++++. I’m going to be reviewing them in the order in which they should be used as well.

1. Brightening Peeling Gel: This gentle yet effective exfoliant is great dull yet sensitive skin, and it’s amazing when when used after double-cleansing. With natural ingredients and a non-abrasive formula, it delicately removes dead skin cells, revealing a smoother, more radiant complexion underneath. I love how it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and revitalized without any irritation.

2. Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream: perfect for skin with active comedones and a debilitated skin barrier. Formulated with calming ingredients like centella asiatica extract and tea tree oil, it targets redness and inflammation while promoting healing. I've noticed a significant reduction in redness and, well, no blemishes, after incorporating this cream into my routine. Plus, its lightweight gel texture absorbs quickly without leaving the greasy feeling behind.

3. Mild Up Sunscreen: it contains a high SPF of 50+ and a PA++++ rating, providing broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays, shielding the skin from sun damage and premature aging. It has a lightweight, non-sticky formula that makes it perfect to wear under makeup and leaves a dryer finish. 

I personally haven’t experienced any negative effects on my skin so far, will update if I do.

I really wanted to try this product, so I’m crazy thankful to Picky for the opportunity. This is the Mixsoon Bean Essence, a current favorite in Korea and the next staple in your skincare routine. It’s an essence that features fermented ingredients such as beans, barley, pear and pomegranate. It’s vegan, cruelty free, alcohol free and contains no artificial fragrance; to me, it doesn’t smell at all. It has two main functions, to hydrate, and to exfoliate both chemically and physically, and it has two ways of applying: 
- For hydration, just apply a regular essence after cleanser or toner, then layer treatments. 
- for exfoliation, apply after cleansing and softly rub your face in circles until you see the residue come off, then clean with pad, and layer treatment products. 


Personally, I think this is so innovative, and the fact that it uses fermented ingredients makes it so good for fungal acne and a better absorption. Although it looks sticky, it doesn’t feel sticky on the face, and it does not take long to be absorbed, specially when massaged on the face to exfoliate. In a week’s usage, I found my face more balanced on the water-oil front. My nose doesn’t get oily as quick as it used to, which makes it easier on makeup and sunscreen. I have only used it once to exfoliate, but I like the hydration part way more. 


However, I did not notice much improvement in redness or heat when I applied it to my cheeks, which is the most sensitive part of my face and gets irritated after mild exfoliation, in comparation with other Centella products I have used in the past.

I am pretty torn about this product because it’s not one to hate, but it’s not one to love either. I will start by saying that I love its texture, it’s fast-absorbing and non-greasy despite being a repairing cream, which is unusual. Packed with Centella Asiatica and Panthenol which, you cannot get better than that when it comes to calming. It will feel refreshing if you happen to have a small breakout that itches, and it won’t feel heavy on top of acne and that, in itself, is a great acomplishment.

This product is the backbone of my evening routine. If you have oily, acne prone skin you need to try this because it’s balancing and controlling without being stripping. The back of the bottle says it all, there’s no secret to it other than it being packed with balancing ingredients from beginning to end. If your skin is oily and has trouble absorving every step of the routine you wish to have (like mine does) this is going to be a game changer for you. It’s watery, smells a little like tree tea, it has never caused edema/erythema or any kind of discomfort despite being on the acidic side. I use it nightly as my toner and pair it with two niacinamide products for the best results I have seen on myself so far. Hoping to try more from SOME BY MI soon.
