I have been using The Ordinary's niacinamide + zinc in my routine twice a day for a number of weeks now and have not really seen much of a difference - my pores still seem quite clogged. 
(Just for reference I also use a salicylic acid cleanser, hydrator and an exfoliator in my routine) 
I'm looking to try a different niacinamide serum brand and was looking for some recommendations on what has worked for you please!

Hi all! I am yet to find a decent suncream at an affordable price and was hoping for some recommendations. The one I am currently using is this Garnier one but no matter how I try to apply it, it pills on my face. 
I'm looking for something that isn't going to break me out and isn't too oily as I have combination/oily skin. I want to be able to wear it under makeup sometimes too.

Hi all! My main skin concern at the moment is large clogged pores. I have combination/oily skin. I currently use a AHA exfoliator in my nighttime routine (every day) and I use niacinamide twice a day as well as hydrating serums/moisturisers so my skin doesnt feel too dry. 
I've heard that a BHA may be more appropriate for my skin concerns, and I have been looking at buying a Salicylic acid cleanser. Would it be okay to use this cleanser daily been as it is a bha? I don't want to end up upsetting my skin!

If it is okay to use a salicylic acid Cleanser daily, which do you recommend? I have been looking at the Boots Ingredients, Inkey List and Cerave ones.

I have been using the elmt exfoliating solution as part of my daily PM routine for quite some time now and I love it! It is an AHA with vitamin C. 
I have recently been given the elmt skin activating solution to try as well, I've read this is good for skin irritation and hydration and has Green Tea and Chinese Skullcap in it. They are both a watery type toner consistency. 
My question is would it be possible to use both of these in my routine or do I need to swap one for the other? The activating solution has no acids in it as far as I can see. If I can use both in my routine, how would you recommend doing it? Layering them or one in the morning and one in the evening?

Can I use elmt skin activator and exfoliating solution at the same time?

The 30ml bottle didn't seem to last me very long though so I will be opting for 60ml next time!

This is my favorite niacinamide serum that I have tried so far. This product has no smell and the texture is slightly thicker than water which I like. It spreads well on the skin and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky residue. I used this product once a day to begin with but built up to using it twice a day. I am using this product to help regulate my oily skin and clear congestion which in the long run will help minimise breakouts and the size of my pores. I have been using this for several weeks and have noticed a difference in my skin (check out my before & after!) so will continue to use it! 

Firstly this product has a subtle floral rose scent to it. I'm not keen on this scent but it doesn't bother me too much and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

It has a texture that is slightly thicker than water and quite slippery which I like. I have been applying this using cotton pads and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and feeling smooth and soft. For the first few days it gave my skin a tingly sensation. It doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky and it doesn't leave a residue. I have only been using this for 1 week so far as part of my morning routine so I have not seen any visible differences yet. I will continue to use this and hope to see some improvement within the next few weeks! 


The first thing I noticed about this product is that it has what I would call a medical/herbal smell to it, which I am not too keen on.

My facial skin type: combination / sensitive 

My skin is sensitive and can feel quite dry and tight after using certain cleansers. It can also be easily upset if I use a product my skin doesnt agree with, or I start to use a new product and my skin purges. This cream helps rehydrate my skin, leaving it feeling comfortably soft and smooth. I do prefer lightweight moisturisers but this is quite a thick cream. However it is absorbed well by my skin and doesn't leave it feeling sticky like other thick creams I've tried. 
I have only been using this for 1.5 weeks as part of my nighttime routine, so I may not have seen the full benefits of it yet. 
I believe this is multi use and can also be used on the body! I have very dry skin which can become flaky so I will be using this on my body too, to see if it improves the condition and hydrates it as much as it hydrates my face! 

Once removed, the instructions say to massage excess into the skin which I did, but it did take a while to sink in and dry. 
There is lots of left over jelly inside the packet and this is a single use product so it seems a shame to waste and throw away what is left. Has anyone found a use for it?

The first thing I noticed is that this product is fragrance free. I always struggle to fit these masks to the contours of my face properly but this is probably one of the best fitting ones I have found so far! The gel from the mask is a lovely texture, I find it refreshing and soothing once applied.
Although I didn't notice any visible changes to my skin after use, it did leave my face feeling very soft, hydrated and smooth! It didn't leave behind any residue or stickiness. I will continue to use these as part of my routine. 

This suncream does have a slight chemical smell to it that doesn't bother me too much but may concern others who prefer fragrance free products. 
This product only comes in 40ml bottles sadly so I can get through it quite quickly, it would be ideal if you could buy a bigger size!

 It is lightweight with a liquid consistency and sinks in well as the last step in my skincare routine. It doesn't pill like some other suncreams do that I have tried which is great when you need to put make up on over the top! It doesn't leave a sticky residue on the skin either and doesn't feel greasy.
