Won Picky giveaway after a loooong time

We have all bought skincare products at some time or the other which either have not worked for us or we have not been able to use them completely before their expiry. I feel it isn’t wise to toss them away unless and until it is extremely necessary to do so. Since an year now, I have made it a habit to keep a track of such products so that I can repurpose them in order to reduce product wastage. Sharing below ways I like to repurpose my products.

1. 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑪𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒔 - I use it as body wash or to clean my makeup brushes and beauty sponges. 

2. 𝑬𝒙𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 - I use this to exfoliate my hands, elbows and knees.

3. 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔 - I use these as body moisturizers. 

4. 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑶𝒊𝒍𝒔 - This is a versatile product and I use it in many different ways - as cuticle oil, adding a few drops in my body lotion to provide extra nourishment to my hands and elbows, adding a few drops in my powdered body scrub.

5. 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒔 - I squeeze serum/ essence out of the sheet mask and then use it on my hands and feet before using body lotion. 

6. 𝑬𝒚𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎 - I use this as hand cream so as to avoid wrinkled hands in the future. Lol. 😅

7. 𝑬𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 - I use this as diy eye patches. I take 2 cotton pads and keep them in warm water for 2-3 min so that they swell and absorb essence properly. I then squeeze out excess water from the cotton pads, soak them in essence and keep those essence soaked cotton pads in fridge for 10-15 min. My diy eye patches are ready to use. This may seem too much of work but I happily do this to save myself from guilt of throwing away the product altogether. ☺️

8. 𝑳𝒊𝒑 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒎/ 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒌 - I use them as cuticle balm.
 
9. If I have any unopened product lying around which I know I wont be using before it’s expiry, I give them away to my family or friends.

My Skin1004 Centella Ampoule has arrived

Hi Everyone,

I got Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum from Cult Beauty. I just opened it and it’s dark orange (refer attached pictures).

I read online that it’s original color is orange right out of the bottle. But this is too orange and looks like it has already been oxidized. I’m not very sure as this is my first time trying their Vitamin C.

Can anyone confirm if this is oxidized and needs to be tossed? 🥺💔

Also, since I have just opened it and it came in oxidized, will mailing brand about this going to help? Thoughts?

Clear serum like texture with tiny white capsules. It absorbs easily and feels comfortable on skin without feeling sticky or heavy.

I found nothing bad about this serum. However, it contains Essential Oils. Those allergic to Essential Oils or have sensitive skin may want to skip this.

🍋 Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum claims to reduce blemishes and dark spots in two weeks. I have used this serum for a little over two weeks and I was quite impressed with the results.

🍋 Below is my experience with the serum:
I started using this serum when my skin condition was bad - tanned, had acne and was feeling drier than usual. 

👉🏻 Packaging: Glass bottle with pump, hygienic and convenient to use
👉🏻 Color&#47; Texture: Lightweight transparent gel (Check the attached pictures to see how it looks like)
👉🏻 How it feels on the skin: Non irritating, quick-absorbing, feels hydrating without feeling greasy
👉🏻 Scent: Mild citrusy scent
👉🏻 How to use: Apply on freshly cleansed skin before moisturizer. Don’t forget to use SPF in your morning routine.
👉🏻 Results: I used the serum for a little over 2 weeks; found it impressive and true to it’s claims🌟. My skin looked slightly even toned, bright and I noticed reduction even in my most stubborn acne (Check the attached pictures to see how it performed on my skin).

👉🏻 In winters this lip balm gets thicker and it becomes a little difficult to dispense it from the tube. 
👉🏻 Since it got thicker, it did not glide smoothly and evenly on lips and did not feel comfortable to wear.

👉🏻 This lip balm has smooth texture and spreads easily on lips. 
👉🏻  It’s a tinted balm, has reddish pink color and gives natural tinge to the lips, suitable for everyday wear.
👉🏻  It is hydrating for a couple of hours and feels comfortable on the lips. 
👉🏻 The scent of this balm is quite subtle and fades away within few minutes.

🍀 The Plant Base White Truffle Tone Up Water claims to improve skin tone and leave skin more moist and smooth.

🍀 It contains following key ingredients.

👉🏻 Niacinamide (brightener)

It is formulated without 18 harmful ingredients such as Paraben, Pigment, Synthetic fragrance, Mineral oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, etc.

🍀 Packaging : Sturdy white coloured opaque bottle.

🍀 Color&#47; Texture : Watery White.

🍀 How it feels on skin : I found this non-irritating, quick-absorbing and hydrating without being sticky.

🍀 How to use : Massage gently into cleansed skin until the product is absorbed.

🍀 Results : It stands true to it’s moisturizing claim. My dry skin felt hydrated after using this tone up water. However, I did not notice any difference in my skin tone.

🌱  Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum claims to moisturize and nourish skin thereby reviving dry skin.

🌱  Packaging : Comes in a pump bottle, easy and hygienic to use.

🌱  Color&#47; Texture : Watery consistency. Is transparent. 

🌱  Scent : Has floral scent.

🌱  How it feels on skin : This is lightweight, non-irritating, sinks into skin quickly and leaves skin feeling hydrated without greasy feeling.

🌱 Results : My skin looked soft, dewy and nourished. It’s a nice, basic serum to keep your skin hydrated. This is perfect to use during summers.
