Diving straight into it, exactly what the title says, I was scrolling on insta today when I came across a post that OVERALL reads exactly like mine.

As far as I am concerned, my review was plagiarized. A few words/sentences are a bit different, omitted or rephrased but OVERALL their “review” reads like mine. Some sentences are literally, exactly what I wrote & even listed in the same order.

First it was confusion, then anger. I am incredibly ANGRY!!! Even thought I should just leave it alone…I thought maybe I should edit my post…currently can’t stop mulling over this.

I don’t think I’m seeing it wrong…No this is not about bashing, I am not trying to go around throwing accusations, I just want clarity about this.

I didn’t create or own words, nor does skincare reviewing belong to me, people use similar words or phrases at times e.g “A little goes a long way” but this is just too much…

This marks the second time I’ve experienced this, a few months ago for a different Try Me Review Me(TMRM), someone left a comment on my post asking to know the deadline, I provided it to them, a few days later I found that, they had lifted some parts of my written review.

While they didn’t get the products from Picky, they review here too.

I am thinking of escalating the matter to Picky Team, in an email.

Really, I just want them to take it down! The written portion to be clear.

* Lightweight lotion texture. Easy to apply & reapply! It’s moisturizing & leaves no whitecast at all on me.
* It’s fragrance-free, doesn’t sting/burn & doesn’t pill.
* Wears well throughout the day, with no greasiness after a few hours.
* It imparts a light dewy finish, on my oily-combination skin.
* I appreciate the lovely sleek tube packaging & really like the pointed nozzle for measured & mess free product dispensing & application.
* This is SO GOOD! It works well for my skin type(oily-combination) & has not irritated me at all. I am acne-prone but no breakouts either. It covers everything I look for in a sunscreen.


Contains some essential oils. Something to keep in mind for those with sensitive skin. I didn’t experience any irritation, the entire time I used it. Nothing bad for me to date.

Cleansing! My favorite part of my skincare routine.✨

I find it gentle for my oily/combination skin. It has a cream consistency that lathers well. Upon rinsing, my skin comes away soft, without being dried out or taut. A good cleanser for use both in the AM & PM. 

Also, I think it’s best used as a 2nd cleanse if you are removing sunscreen & makeup. 

Scent wise (contains essential oils, limonene & linalool)I don’t exactly know how to describe it, just that I like that it’s not overpowering or sickening.

Cleanser comes in 120ml squeeze tube packaging. My favorite kind of packaging! 

Saw it through to the end and my experience was a good one.

Overall, my experience using this product thus far has been positive.

Packaging: Elegant and reminiscent of nature to me.

Texture&#47;Consistency: Lightweight, watery and not sticky. The product easily sinks into the skin.

Scent: Faint, not cloying to the nostrils.

In the 1 week that I have been using this solution, I have seen a slightly brightened complexion. Which is the main aim of the product, to help you achieve your brightest complexion.  I also found the product to be quite hydrating. Leaving my skin feeling supple whether I use it as a toner or to refresh my skin.

This is a brightening serum that contains licorice root water, niacinamide, glycerin & beta glucan. It’s slightly viscous with a pale brown milky appearance. It absorbs quickly & the finish is a bit sticky but quickly goes away in no time. It’s also fragrance-free.

This is my 2nd bottle from Picky, I emptied my 1st bottle within 2 weeks using it without fail in both my AM/PM routine . My experience remains the same as the 1st time around. I find it both moisturizing & soothing. It plays well with the other products in my routine, It can also double as my moisturizer at times.To date I have not experienced any irritation using it. It’s a nice gentle, easy to use brightening serum. My complexion looks more brighter, consistent use is key!
