Hey all 👋 First post, I still don't quite understand this app, but I have a question about my routine. First of all, my face seems to be LOVING my skincare routine at the moment so I don't know why I'm so concerned, but it includes what seems to be a lot of acids/exfoliant and I'm afraid I might be over doing it. Maybe I should be doing something to take care of my skin barrier as well? This may be long 😩 sorry in advance!

My routine:
1. Double cleanse with Hero Cosmetics Dissolve Away Daily Cleansing Balm + Youthforia Night Off Face Wash
2. Swipe on Paula's Choice 6% Mandelic Acid + 2% Lactic Acid Liquid Exfoliant (both morning and night)
3a. (Every other day/morning alternate) Kora Organics Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum or Herbivore Milky Way 10% AHA + Oat Soothing Exfoliating Serum
3b. (Nighttime) Farmacy Honey Glow 17% Resurfacing Acid Serum
4. Korres Black Pine Bounce Firming Moisturizer
5. Elta MD UV Clear 46 SPF Sunscreen (morning only)
6. Makeup in the daytime, no primer, very light/natural/minimal makeup using Yensa Super Serum Silk Foundation and Ciate Watermelon Setting Powder 

And I have stopped using masks because they seem to irritate my skin, but once in awhile I will do a 2-3 hour "mask" with my Biocorneum Advanced Scar Treatment or on my lazy days, I might throw on a clean face oil.

I'm 36 years old and have a checkered past - I spent 9 months on the streets of Phoenix doing "bad things" that resulted in me picking my skin and getting a lot of sun damage, so I have some scarring, but my skin is actually pretty nice, all things considered. I'm in recovery for years now and no one else seems to notice the scars, but I do so I've been experimenting for a long time to see what helps to fade them. I'm actually seeing results finally, but it took many breakouts. I've found that scrubs and beads are bad on my skin, but my face looks extremely dull if I am not exfoliating. I realize I'm never going to have the flawless skin of my 20s back, but this is the best it has looked in years. I just worry that the amount of exfoliant I'm using will do harm, I'm not sure how it works so any advice or comments are welcome. Thanks in advance!

How much is too much exfoliant?

Personally, I enjoy the scent, but I can imagine it might be off-putting for some people. The price is a bit high as well.

I cannot wait to see how far it can take me and I plan to purchase more from this line. I don't think I've ever used such a perfect product!

I'm still not convinced that vitamin C topicals actually work 😂

This fragrance-free, gel-like serum is very gentle and mixes well with my other skincare products so it's easy to incorporate it into your daily routine. I would repurchase this if I felt the need for a vitamin C serum (which is not usually my thing). It doesn't cause any irritation to my skin and I love the fun packaging.

It's PERFECT. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

I have to agree with what I've heard, this really is sunshine in a bottle! I love the bubbles of vitamins in each drop, it lets me know that I'm getting a dose of radiance in each dropper. This is honestly everything a vitamin C serum should be and more. I'm loving how powerful it is and that I can actually see it working so quickly to fade my dark spots, smooth my skin's texture and boost my glow without the harshness that some potent formulations come with. I believe that the green tea enzyme not only helps to smooth texture and even out my skin tone, but also soothes my skin so that it isn't irritated from the active vitamin C. I'm very pleased with this product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a glow up!
