Is there a way to filter discussion posts to see all discussions except for certain topics? Personally, I would like to filter to see all posts except giveaways. Especially on days like today when winners are announced. Scrolling past 50+ posts about winning the same giveaway makes me less inclined to visit the discussion section. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lately I have noticed a growing number of posts asking for tips on how to win Picky giveaways. I’m sharing my tips and experience after having won a number of giveaways myself. 

I’ve seen a lot of posts saying things like:
▫️ “I enter all the giveaways and I never win!”
▫️ “I’m so unlucky!”

When I look at the users that post these comments, I usually notice:
▫️ They have no reviews
▫️ They only have a few reviews
▫️ The reviews are very short (1-3 sentences)
▫️ The reviews are low quality. For example, the review only says “I love this product!” or “It didn’t work for me.”

My #1 Tip: HIGH QUALITY REVIEWS

Picky clear states on their blog: “Those that write quality reviews, comments and posts tend to have a better chance of winning”. 

Work on your reviews! Picky is not going to select winners that have low quality reviews. Think of your Picky profile as your portfolio. Picky will select winners that they know can write a good review. Simply saying “I love this product” is not enough. Add details such as texture, consistency, scent, and your overall experience using the product.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.
I’ve seen users with less than 10 reviews win giveaways and people with 20+ reviews not win  giveaways. The difference? The person with less than 10 reviews had good quality reviews. Luck may play a small part in you winning, but your reviews are what count the most.

A lot of moisturizing products include hylauronic acid so I don’t think a separate hylauronic acid product is a necessity in my routine. Also, the packaging is a solid white bottle so it is difficult to tell how much product is left in the bottle. 

This is a lightweight serum that only requires a few drops for my entire face and neck. The product doesn’t have a scent and has a opaque clear color. The texture is a medium consistency that isn’t too watery and isn’t too thick. The serum dries down easily in a few minutes without a sticky finish. My skin feels supple and hydrated after I use this serum. I think this serum would be great in the winter when my skin is feeling particularly dry. 

It has a slight herbal-scent that some may not like. 

These are soothing toner pads that are made of a soft waffle texture. The toner pads are soaked in essence with a slight herbal-ish scent. The pads have multiple layers and you could possibly pull apart the layers to make the pads last longer. The pads feel soothing on my skin and helps to calm down redness on my skin. I use 2-3 pads at a time. The essence sinks into my skin nicely with no residue. They provide some hydration to my face, but it is not hydrating enough that I would skip a moisturizer.

It has a strong scent that reminds me of paint. I find the mask difficult to spread across my face. The sugar granules did not dissolve like the instructions said. The granules feel rough on my skin so I would not use this mask if my skin was irritated or sensitive. 

This is an exfoliating wash-off mask that has a gritty texture due to the sugar granules. You don’t need a lot of product, so the jar lasts a long time. The mask is easy to wash off and my face feels soft. So it does a good job of exfoliating my skin. 

It is a bit drying on my face, especially in the winter. I also did not like the earthy-scent of this cleanser.

This is a gentle cleanser that adequately cleans my face. I like that the pump turns the liquid to foam and I don’t need to build up the foam or use a foaming net. The foam feels gentle on my face and does not leave my face feeling stripped. One pump is more than enough to clean my face and neck. I like that the cleanser comes in a clear bottle so I can see how much product is left. There are green tea leaves at the bottom of the bottle that make it look unique. The tea leaves are separated from the cleanser so the leaves don’t end up in the cleanser.

Very pricey product. There are more affordable moisturizer options.

This moisturizer is fragrance-free, lightweight, and sinks easily into my skin. The product is gentle and leaves my face feeling moisturized all day and night. The moisturizer glides across my skin and makes it easy to layer products on top. The full-sized product comes with a unique pump bottle. A great product for my normal to dry skin type. I love that this moisturizer includes peptides as well.
