Looking for an spf that dries down more matte or just sinks in without being noticeably glowy/dewy. Prefer chemical spfs, but open to any as long as there’s no white cast.

I get dark spots typically after a breakout. I have been using retinols, vit c, spf, exfoliants, etc. I feel like nothing works that well. I just finished my Naturium vit c serum and was wondering if I should repurchase and give it more time or if I should try something different. I was interested in trying alpha arbutin or something. Any suggestions?

looking for a very hydrating serum/essence for a cold dry climate. i don’t want one that’s watery, would prefer a thick serum. Also looking for some hydrating and calming ingredients other than hyaluronic acid, as that doesn’t always work for me when it’s dry weather.

I’m looking to try hydrojelly masks. Those ones that you can get during a facial. They are usually a powder you mix with water. I know dr jart used to have them but they’re discontinued. Any recommendations ? I’ve only seen the ones sold for spas so they are very big sizes/not accessible.

The dermide balancing barrier balm from Purito is packed with ceramides to deliver intense hydration and strenghten the skin barrier. It is great for dry and/or sensitive skin types, and it is also vegan and cruelty free! I have really been enjoying this balm and have been implementing it into my nightime routine. Since I have combo skin, it is definitely too emollient for me in the daytime. My favourite way to use it has been to mix it with a retinol oil at night. It helps everything glide on smoothly and keep the moisture locked in. I also use it on my hands that are prone to eczema, and I find it moisturizing and soothing. Despite the balm texture, it is not greasy at all. Nothing but good things to say about this one! 

Nothing bad! Maybe not as moisturizing for dry skin types or wintertime. If I have irritations on my skin sometimes it tingles. 

This is a lightweight,but thick gel textured sleeping mask. It features ingredients such as centella, hyaluronic acid, melatonin, and different fruit&#47;plant extracts. I enjoy using this mask when my skin is feeling sensitized, or if I’m not using retinol at night. It is cooling and calming. It is definitely a nice mask for summertime as it isn’t rich or emollient. It has a light, natural scent probably due to the rose water and extracts. Overall I enjoy this mask, and I find it does what it says.

I wish it was slightly less glowy, but I still really like it! 
Update: I enjoy the glow much more in the dry winter weather. Nice and hydrating. 

I received this product for free from Picky and NACIFIC in exchange for my honest review. Vegan Sun Essence [SPF 50+/PA++++]: A vegan sunscreen with high UVA and UVB protection. It is a combination sunscreen with physical and chemical filters. It is lightweight, but moisturizing. It starts off with a tiny cast but blends in very easily. It sets to a glowy finish, but it’s not greasy at all. The scent is similar to the mist which I enjoy. This looks stunning under makeup. Since I have combo skin I don’t wear moisturizer under this. Update: in the winter weather I enjoy the glow much more! 

I received this product for free from Picky and SKIN1004 in exchange for my honest review. This is a lightweight sunscreen with chemical filters. It features centella asiatica from Madagascar, and hyaluronic acid. This has to be the least greasy sunscreen I’ve ever tried! It is so lightweight, with no white cast, and rubs in so easily. It leaves a glow, but settles into a more natural skin-like finish. It is less glowy than some of my other SPFs which I like. It is non-irritating, I can use it under and over my eyes with no problem. This is definitely in my top 3!

Gentle black facial cleanser👇🏻
This cleanser has a thick texture that foams up nicely. It doesn’t strip my skin at all and leaves it very clean. It’s easy to rinse off and remove excess oil/dirt. I enjoyed using this as my second step. The only con is that it did sting my eyes, so I have to be careful around the eye area. If it weren’t for that, this cleanser would be absolutely perfect. It is unscented and gentle.
