guys im actually torn between which type of product to use. obviously ive heard that korean products are much better than western but genuinely i need confirmation from honest ppl rather than sponsored ads. my main problem is targeting acne scars (PIH) and im not sure what products to use. my skin is dry, not sensitive, acne prone only on my period (hormonal) and textured. if anyone could recommend any affordable products and spf or mention any specific ingredients to look out for, id appreciate it. also someone pls explain retinol in depth to me xoxoo

heyy bc black friday is going on rn i rlly wanna get some affordable products for my skin. i have quite bad scarring from cystic acne i had about 2 yrs ago (from stupid masks🙄🙄) and the scars never rlly went away.

at the moment i rarely break out but when i do its usually near my period and i normally break out along my chin and jaw area. sometimes i break out on the sides of my cheek which is bc of my pillow tbh. and only on forehead when i dont get enough sleep. 

the scars that i have are quite dark and over the years have actually lightened quite significantly. 

could anyone plss recommend products for hyperpigmentation that is also good for dry skin. my skin is literally so dry i go 10 times lighter if i dont moisturise.

I've already made a post ages ago about this and I feel like I never get a great response so I'm gonna try again!

I wanna start off by saying that im only 16 so i dont want to use any harsh products. 

I have really dry skin except my nose and sometimes my forehead where it isn't AS dry as the rest of my face. 

Back when covid was a thing and we had to wear masks, my acne got so bad because I was like 12-14 and obviously every teen girl is breaking out at that age. However i started to get so insecure about normal spots (since no one i knew got them as early as I did) so i just wore the mask the whole time which obviously made my skin so much worse due to bacteria. My skin at the time wasn't a concern to me as I was in a slightly depressive state and this may sound gross but i never had the energy to even wash my face or brush my teeth. Thankfully, I'm all good now though!

I also found out a long time later that i have a cyst in my ovary, causing my periods to be extremely irregular (im talking like 2-3 times a month each around a week) and i normally break out around my period which just meant i was breaking out all the damn time. 

My problem is also that i ALWAYS without a doubt will pop a pimple which leaves me with so many scars. At the moment, I don't break out much, and period are thankfully regular again and my main problem is the scarring. When i break out (usually my chin/jaw area) it's just because of periods but its never really major and goes away within a couple of days. 

I would say that I am not that acne prone but as I am still young I want to refrain from using any harsh products. However, if anyone believes a certain product is worth a try, I wouldn't mind any suggestions.

Would also like to mention that makeup is never a problem to me. I have never broken out due to makeup. Doesn't feel weird on my skin or anything. I hate when ignorant people blame my skin on 'makeup' when i started not very long ago. I've only been using any type of makeup for a year now and my skin was at it's worst 2-3 years ago. So i only started when my skin calmed down so I don't irritate any active break outs. 

Last but not least, I will NOT be using any boycotted products such as The Ordinary/La Roche Posay/CeraVe. Please respect my decision and don't try to start an argument with me. I don't want to hear it and I don't care. Plus i used the ordinary products for a while and it did absolutely nothing for me.

In my opinion, it is the worst foundation i have ever used. Streaky and drying. Made me look ashy. Does not blend down well. U look pasty. No coverage. I would never repurchase. I had such high hopes

My ONLY problem is that the product leaves a tiny white cast and sometimes (though rarely) makes me look grey. The white cast is not very noticeable though and is definitely better than other products. Also it is not the cheapest. I would rather purchase a cheaper sunscreen.

It's extremely soothing and didn't make me break out or anything. I have extremely dry skin and this lowkey moisturises my skin without feeling too heavy. The consistency is great. Doesn't pill under makeup either and also does not make me look oily like a lot of other sunscreens

i honestly didnt see anyy difference after using for about three months. finished a whole tube and now on my second and nothing has changed. this doesnt mean it wouldnt work for someone else but it isnt working for me
