It has beta-glucan which is kind of viscous which explains the very slightly gooey texture. I’m not a fan of the texture tbh. I seem to have experienced some pilling with my sunscreen sometimes. 


This is mainly made up of licorice root water and its main purpose is to soothe and brighten the skin. 

I do like licorice a lot as an ingredient because of its brightening properties! It’s also a strong antioxidant and is anti-inflammatory and soothing. 

It also contains oat kernel extract for soothing as well.

I do appreciate that this is soothing and they made it ph5.5 which is at a non irritating level for the skin barrier. 

I really love that it is calming and soothing. My skin just feels better with it and less irritated. It’s light and watery. For some reason it helped with my acne along the jaw.

I really hated the smell though. It doesn’t linger but it smells like I’m smearing bad food on my face. 

And it did seem to oxidize on my skin. I did not apply makeup that day. I used cotton pads to clean my face with micellar water and they were brown. Totally brown.

Medicube deep vita C ampoule 

I think it did help to lighten my acne scars quite a bit. They were quite fresh when I just started using this ampoule and they lightened up a bit.

Texture wise a bit tacky and easy to apply. It’s a yellowish liquid. I hope mine didn’t spoil cos I really don’t know how it was supposed to look like. 

It has a pretty high 13.5 % vitamin c from the packaging and the list of ingredients looked pretty good and balanced. 

It did sting my face a little while I used glycolic acid with it. Just wanted to try how potent it is, my bad for testing my skin’s limit.

Probably presence of alcohol and fragrance which doesnt bother me much. Texture is kinda thick. And a whooping 90 over ingredients kinda scare me.

At first I thought this is a thick night cream which is stuffy. Honestly it does feel like it will be stuffy but actually once it sinks in it’s pretty alright but it takes a while. I like to put a thick layer of night cream so that’s what I did. 

This is my favourite of the routine. It worked well in the AM too, unexpectedly. I expected it to be sticky and not work well in the morning but it did. It mixed well with my other skincare too. 

It locked in hydration quite well at night and in the morning, skin didn’t feel dry at all. 

Overall routine: 
Think Medicube x Picky did pretty well for this routine of toner plus vitamin c plus the cream. It pretty much covered all bases for hydration and brightening.

Fragrance too strong for me and I am not a fan of the smell. I don’t think the collagen did anything to my pores. 

Got pretty bored of this toner after using it for about a week or so. Not exactly soothing either.

Color of the packaging - super pretty and instagrammable. 

It was not too watery and it’s kind of tacky after applicable but it’s alright. I would say it’s just mainly hydrating.
