Hello! I have been looking into Etude House’s Soonjung line and was wondering how people with a similar skin type have felt about the products. If you have any favorites, please let me know! Should I look elsewhere? I want more gentle products to increase my skin’s hydration, but not heavy ones.

Thoughts on Soonjung line for oily, resillient, dehydrated skin?

The fragrance in it may react badly to some people’s skin, and I believe it has alcohol in it, which may irritate some people as well. 


This product is a good hydrating serum. I have a mini I got from Sephora and intend on purchasing the full size on Jolse at some point. The scent reminds me of the Shiseido Ultimune serum that I also love, but this is far more affordable than Shiseido. This has a nice fresh scent and works on my oily skin to hydrate it without irritating or clogging my pores. 

I have nothing bad to say about this product. Maybe if you want to apply it to the entire face, the one drop applicator may feel frustrating. 

This product is my favorite Vitamin C product and I will be repurchasing! A little goes a long way and it has a single drop applicator so very little comes out at once and the product lasts a long time. It is perfect for spot treatment but can be used all over the face as well (except for eye area). It has a light citrusy smell that is nice and a watery/oily consistency that is easily spreadable and very smooth. It has caused no acne and doesn’t make me excessively oily. It also works (if you give it time, as with any Vitamin C product) and is a very good price!

I didn’t like the consistency. It didn’t apply smoothly and because it is tinted it made my face look patchy and strange, and greasy as well. It is hard to spread across skin becagse it is strangely dry. 

This product worked okay. It did the job. 

This isn’t a problem with the product, I had no issues, but be careful not to over exfoliate! I was using this as my primary cleanser while introducing lactic acid into my routine and though it might have partially been a purging period, I feel I compromised my moisture barrier which led to an increase in acne! 

This product works really well to reduce acne. It is a nice gel type cleanser that doesn’t get very sudsy. I also use it on my body, which is very convenient! 

It can leave my eyes cloudy and doesn’t always completely get rid of more stubborn makeup or eyeliner that is in/close to the lashline. 

I am obsessed with this! It is a perfect oil cleanser, and I even see it remove dirt from my pores after a thorough enough facial massage. It is my new holy grail, lasts a while, and has a nice scent.
