Hi! I've never really used toner or exfoliating products before.. at least not for its purpose.  Are they really crucial? Should I really add it to my routine?

Edit: thank you everyone for your replies.  I now know that there's such thing as a toner exfoliator (like a 2 in 1?) How do you tell that a product does both? Because the recommended ones usually just says toner,  how do you know that it also exfoliates?  I'm so sorry if this is a really dumb question!

Edit #2: thank you so much for all these tips. Here is a summary for anyone else who's on the same boat as me, this is what I learned. 
1. Toner balances pH of your skin
2. Exfoliator gets rid of extra debris and dead skin. Important because serums and such might not actually get absorbed with all the debris on surface
3.There are toners that also exfoliates. Look for toners with exfoliating ingredients, such as glycerol, sodium pca, aha, bha

I'm not very fond of the smell, because it smells like grass? Hay? Not sure but it smells very "nature-like"

Love the bottle and the dropper that it has it's very cute. It definitely made me face feels clean and refreshed.

The down side of it for me, is that I'm not happy with the scent of it. It smells nice at first but the "aftersmell" is almost like plastic, a bit nauseating for me. I likely wouldn't get another one. But go for it if scents usually don't bother u.

This lotion is very light, so i am very impressed at how moisturizing it is. It goes on very smooth as well. 

For me personally,  nothing. But I can see that some people would prefer something slightly heavier 

This moisturizer is very light weight and scent free. I have really sensitive skin and so many products literally burns my face. This doesn't. I've been using this for years now. Often want to try something different but I'll end up breaking out or having some sort of reaction and coming right back to this one 

My favorite product. I am super super prone to breaking out.  I&#39;ve tried so many products and this has been the only one that keeps my face clear. I&#39;ve been using this for over a year now. Love the scent of it and the way it makes my face feels

I really wanted to like this product because of the great reviews. I am usually very prone to acne and have very specific products that I use. Unfortunately this made me break out after 3 days of using. I do like that it&#39;s a very light formula and seems like it does work for anti aging, but too bad it&#39;s not for me

It&#39;s not scented. And it goes on smoothly
