I’ve been on the hunt for a good Vitamin C serum that wouldn’t break the bank and that’s actually effective. 
I know that Vitamin C is a pretty complex ingredient and it always leaves me a bit overwhelmed as to which product is better, so I tend to chicken out and not try anything. 
Do you guys have any good Vitamin C recommendations? Any holy grails you swear by or that have actually been effective? 
I’d love to hear your thoughts and maybe finally get the courage to try something 🙈❣️.

As I was doing my usual skincare ingredients research, I came across various videos and articles and found out that too much hyaluronic acid can actually be bad for your skin.
Of course too much anything could be bad, but hyaluronic acid is so highly advertised as the miraculous moisturizing ingredient that it didn’t cross my mind for a second! 

And this is where my issue comes into play: 
many of the products I use have HA in them, not even as the main ingredient it just… is there 😅
and I’ve been noticing my skin getting a bit irritated, especially when I use them all together.
I really want to step away from HA products for some time to see if HA is the problem and how my skin feels without it. 

So my question is, has this ever happened to you? And do you have any recommendations for products that don’t have HA in them? 
I’m open to all recommendations! 🥰💕

Sensitivity to Hyaluronic Acid

The first time I used this I should have kept it starting at 3-5 minutes and working my way up to 10, because it irritated my skin a little. But I hadn’t thought of that possibility at the time, so I always kept it on for 10 minutes. 
Now my skin can handle it very well, but please pay attention to how your skin reacts!

I was a little scared to try this at first, since I had heard that it was a pretty strong acid and my skin can be pretty sensitive. 
I was already familiar with chemical exfoliants as I had tried both AHAs and BHAs months prior to trying this, and my skin had built tolerance. 
I have now been using this peeling solution for a year and I definitely see why it’s well liked by many. 
 I saw huge improvements in my skin texture, it feels and looks much smoother and pores are less congested. 
I don’t feel the need to use it every week now like I used to, as I have gentler AHAs and BHAs that I use, but it’s always there whenever I feel like my skin needs it. 
But I still love it and it has truly helped my skin during its worst. 
Remember to be careful with it, always patch test and make sure you start with smaller percentages of acids first! This solution is pretty strong, don’t overuse it either!

I really wish this could come with a pump

This has saved my arms from nasty KP bumps and helped get rid of whiteheads on my cheeks as well! 
It’s a thick balm and I was worried it would be too much for my skin, but it’s been loving it. 
My skin also tends to be more sensitive, but I’ve never had problems with it personally and I’ve been using this cream for almost two years.

Formula is a bit tacky, so I prefer this during the winter months

Bought this on a whim because I wanted to tey more TO serums and I really enjoyed it! 
My skin was feeling more plump and hydrated and fine lines have definitely been reduced. 
Not an absolute holy grail for me, but it’s a nice serum that sticks to its claims.

It’s a little pricey, but other than that it’s good!

I bought this mainly because everyone was talking about it and I regretted it at first.
It was making me wake up with drier skin and I didn’t understand why. 
Now I don’t know what has happened, but I’m really enjoying this! I wake up with supple and hydrated skin and I love how fresh it feels when applied.

I don’t have anything bad to say about it!

I’ve been using this cleanser for almost a month and it’s quickly made its way up to my top skincare products. 
It has a thick and creamy consistency that foams up nicely and it leaves my skin feeling clean without being stripping in the slightest. 
I also enjoy the fragrance, it’s not too strong, doesn’t linger and it hasn’t made my skin react in any way. 
The packaging is also very nice, looks pretty in my skincare stack AND does its job perfectly. Love it!
