I’m looking for everyone’s suggestions for a rich moisturiser. I have oily / combination skin but during the winter, I get dry patches around my nose and chin. I’m looking for a richer, thicker moisturiser that I can use at night to help with my dry patches as a gel moisturiser doesn’t do the job for me in the winter.

Can anyone suggest any brands / products from Korean skincare brands for oily / combination skin (with a little sensitivity)

Absolutely nothing at all, no irritation or stinging and I can see results already!

This ampoule contains a vitamin C derivative, tranexamic acid and Niacinamide which claims to brighten skin whilst also aiding uneven skin tone and reducing the appearance of dark spots.

I received Skin1004’s centella ampoule from Picky last year and I loooved it, so I was super excited to try this ampoule, too. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed!

🤍 it has a light, delicate, herbal scent which I really enjoyed
🤍 it has a thick, gel like texture (as opposed to the watery texture of the centella ampoule) but it sinks in to the skin really nicely
🤍 I’ve been using it once a day in the morning for almost two weeks now and have noticed some significant improvement on some of my most stubborn dark spots, so I’m hopeful that with long term use it will make a huge difference 
🤍 the niacinamide helps to soothe and calm my skin
🤍 the 100ml bottle is a very generous size and will last absolutely ages

It does sting a little when first applied, but I think this is due to the strong citrus-y fragrance. However, I think there is a fragrance-free version.

I loved the thick, creamy texture of this cream cleanser. It left my skin feeling clean, smooth and soft. It contains AHAs and BHAs to help improve uneven skin tone and texture. It comes in a generous 150ml pot and a little goes a long way. It is also budget-friendly at just over £10 a pot.

It can be a little oily, but not enough to put me off. The main reason I would never buy this balm is the ridiculously high price point - I will definitely try to find a more affordable alternative.

This recovery balm is amazing! The texture is thick and nourishing and it has a very calming scent. The cream is soothing and non-irritating and sinks in nicely without leaving a film on my skin.

This balm has helped me with dry patches and I always wake up with glowy skin the day after. It also helps fo reduce redness.

It leaves my skin feeling a little greasy and sticky

I have noticed a slight reduction in my dark spots and scarring after a short period of time, lovely light scent, sinks in nicely and doesn’t pill with other products

It is very expensive at £42 a jar. I managed to get it as part of a beauty box and got a great deal! As much as I love it, I will probably look for a more affordable alternative.

This is the holiest of grails for a deeply nourishing and moisturising balm. I absolutely love it!

It is calming, non-irritating and with an earthy, neutral scent. It has an oily like texture but it does eventually sink in and dry. This balm is intensely moisturising and leaves my skin glowing and feelinh and looking plump in the morning.

I love the brand’s ethos and the packaging is fully recyclable.
