Hi Beauties! Let’s pass on some tips that we wish we had known when we were younger. I mainly focused on things we should be teaching our daughters about skincare. The biggest thing I have been trying to teach my teen is ALWAYS use  to use sunscreen and moisturize every night.

Glycerin may not sound very glamorous but it is a real oldie but a goodie. It’s been used in cosmetics for more than  50 years and it’s a totally natural ingredient that’s also in the outermost layer of our skin. Here are some facts you may not have known. 


It’s a  natural moisturizer that’s also in your  skin. 


It’s super common, safe, effective and cheap molecule that has been used for more than 50 years.


It’s not just a simple moisturizer. 

 It keeps the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy (liquid crystal) state. 

It protects against irritation. 

It’s effective  from as low as 3% with even more benefits at higher concentrations up to 20-40% (around 10% is a good usability-effectiveness sweet spot).

High-glycerin moisturizers are awesome for treating severely dry skin and acts  as a hydrating pick-me-up.

Hi Beauties! I know we are all loving being a part of the picky community but I thought I would start a post on suggestions that could be made to make this app a little more user friendly. 


My first suggestion would be to make it easier to follow friends. Its hard to find others on the app unless you know something that they have reviewed.  We need a search bar that allows you to type their name and follow them. 
 
I would love to be alerted when someone I am following posts a new review or discussion question.

Sunday Riley creates powerful skincare products with high-tech formulas that deliver fast, visible results. This product can be used day or night, I decided to incorporate it into my nighttime routine. 
This product is gentle enough to apply daily so I have been using it  it every night since it arrived. 

Being a lactic acid newbie myself, I was super excited to try out Sunday Riley’s Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment.  Good Genes is light yet hydrating and leaves the skin feeling smooth, plump, and dewy without much of a residue. I loved the citrusy- floral scent and it took me to a place of deep relaxation when I would put it on. I love being able to smell a product after I have used it. I’m a citrusy loving girl so I was excited the first night I applied it. If you have ever been on the ride soarin at Disneyland you’ll know what I am talking about when I say it smells like a citrus grove and a fresh field of tulips. Amazing! 

After applying Good Genes the first time, my skin felt firmer, softer, and more hydrated once the product had fully absorbed. So far, I love this product for its exfoliating effects and will keep you posted if I notice a significant lightening of dark spots.

Safe Me Relief Moisture Cleansing Foam is a cream to foam cleanser
that I was generously gifted to try. 

🍃About the product: 

🍃Purpose: A foaming cleanser, specifically &quot;low-irritant&quot; and low pH.
🍃Scent: Pleasant but noticeable. Herbal with a bit of florals thrown in and a hint of something lemony, nothing that makes my nose hairs recoil in horror.
🍃Texture: A thick cream&#47;paste that lathers into a soft, loose, small-bubble foam when agitated with water.
🍃pH result: Right where it should be, pH 5.5, tested both neat and foamed with water.

🍃My thoughts: 

I really am loving this product. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked on not just me but also  my teen daughter. The formula foams up quite nicely once you add water. I love that Safe Me Relief Moisture Cleansing Foam leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean after every wash and never uncomfortably tight or dry. Make P:rem Safe Me Relief Moisture Cleansing Foam was a definite game changer for me. Damaged skin barriers are not irreparable, you can start with a reliable low pH cleanser. When your skin barrier is working at its fullest potential, it will keep what’s needed in and block out the rest. I also love how refreshing it smells. Overall this is an amazing cleanser and because of its gentle formula  it’s suitable for all skin types which is a plus. I would absolutely recommend this as a good every day foam cleanser and a perfect place to start if you have a teen just getting into skincare.

Where has this pale pink bottle of goodness been all my life? I’m loving this!!

The Perfect Skin Creator means business because, well, just look at its product name. True to its title, the product boasts a wealth of benefits. In addition to minimizing wrinkles, pores and spots, it also combats redness and dull complexion. The silky formula produces a “soft-focus” effect that basically gives my skin the impression of an airbrush finish. I found that despite its lightweight composition (which smells subtly floral, by the way, but not overpowering at all in case you’re wary), the product actually provides delicately balanced medium coverage. Not only that, but it creates an incredibly glow that is perfect for any look. 

I’ve been using the new Dreamskin for 10 days now and, I’m truly noticing  a difference in my skin. Here are a few reasons why I am loving this product: 
* Moisturizing; even more so than the old formula if you’ve used this product in the past. 
* Feels velvety and makes my skin smooth, which is why it’s also great as primer.
* Removes redness and blemishes (quicker than when I still had vitamin C in my routine).
* Minimizes the appearance of my pores. 
* Gives a natural radiance that addresses my dull complexion

I can’t wait to see how my skin looks after finishing this bottle. One thing I left out in my review is that this bottle is refillable. Love being able to refill my products. So glad Dior is doing this.

It might be a little oily if you do not have dry skin.

This is an amazing facial cleanser with anti-aging properties. It gently  removes makeup, dirt, and oil while also moisturizing the skin. 
The Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm is made with Elderberry, sweet almond, coconut, and jojoba seed oils, and shea butter.  These ingredients make for a clean and moisturizing experience. This luxurious balm really softens the skin, instantly giving it a smoother, more radiant finish—no harsh exfoliation needed.  The smells of this balm feels like a trip to a high-end spa. It is absolutely heavenly. I am not big on strong smells (in fact I am quite sensitive) and I do not find this overpowering at all. I enjoy it immensely. One thing to note about the formula is that it contains an array of oils that can be potentially irritating for those with sensitive skin (do your research and of course use caution with sensitive skin). I have extremely sensitive skin and had zero issues with this balm. In fact my face absolutely loves .
