1. post consistently. brands look for people who are reliable with posting and post everyday, even multiple times a day. 

2. make videos with products you already have. brands want to see the quality of your product reviews and if you don't have anything of that nature on your account, they're less likely to respond to emails or reach out to you. 

3. pitch yourself! treat your account like a business and market yourself to brands through email/DM. discuss how a partnership would be mutually beneficial.

4. keep an eye on your favorite brands' socials as they often post about influencer/ambassador programs they're currently running. always check their stories and the linktree in their bios. 

5. invest in yourself and your personal brand. in order to be a high value content creator you need to increase the quality of your content. buy that tripod, buy that portable light, buy that camera! 

6. be YOURSELF 💞 it's okay to be inspired but don't try to be like someone else. be true to yourself and brands will appreciate your unique qualities.

tips for receiving PR as a microinfluencer

I have about 550 followers on tiktok (@h44rii) so I'm an ultra small account, yet somehow catched the attention of big korean skincare brands! I also do lots of outreach emails and try to email 3 brands a week where I pitch myself and my tiktok account.

Since the start of June, I've received PR from Medicube, Mixsoon, and Purito. I hope to work with many more of my favorite brands as I grow my account!

gorgeous BLUE PR box from mediheal🩵

I've been seeing a lot of comments where people are saying that quality of your content doesn't matter, consistency doesn't matter, only your number of followers do. this is FALSE.

I see people with over 10k followers that struggle to receive PR so that logic is immediately debunked. not to mention, I started receiving collab requests from brands when I only had around 2-300 followers on my tiktok. I've worked with around 10 brands and I just hit 600 followers today. there is a huge misconception that you need to have 1k+ followers to be eligible for PR. 

so please don't be discouraged by your number of followers. post consistently, increase the quality of your content, be active and supportive of other creators in the skincare community, and most importantly, don't give up!

I have been out of town for a week and was shocked to see how many packages I received 😭 I've been in contact with several brands but I guess everything came at the same time. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed because of the posting deadlines but I'm honestly just so excited to try new products and create content. I am so so grateful for this and I am so happy I decided to start posting skincare content.

10% niacinamide concentration might be irritating to some people so be aware of that, but I had no issues. The finish is beautiful but I don't like how my skin kinda feels sticky after. When I layer other skincare on top it doesn't pill at all so I can deal with the stickiness if it means good results! 

This is my favorite hyperpigmentation by far! It started fading my old stubborn hyperpigmentation in just 2 weeks and I can't wait to see how my skin will look after I finish the bottle. I also love the glass skin finish this serum leaves, it's so gorgeous and natural. 

I really have nothing negative to say about this product except for the fact that Mediheal never has any sales 😭 I want to restock on this but I'm waiting for the price to go down. 

I love how this toner pad soothes active blemishes on my skin and how it also hydrates and fades fresh post acne marks. I love using these on my cheeks nose and chin as a sheet mask and then I squeeze out the excess essence and put it on my face after. 

The only issue I find with this product is the price. It’s $25 on pretty much all websites and I don’t think Tirtir goes on sale often. Other than that, this product is perfect all-around. 

If you are interested in trying Tirtir products, then this is a great product to start with as it’s suitable for all skin types. The tirtir SOS serum is truly my miracle, all-in-one, glass skin, holy grail product, and I do not throw out the holy grail term lightly. This deeply hydrates dehydrated skin, soothes irritated blemish-prone skin, and repairs a damaged skin barrier. It has a stacked ingredient list that appeals to several different skin concerns, making this a versatile product.

The star ingredient of this product is polyglutamic acid, which holds 10x more water than hyaluronic acid, meaning this delivers super intense hydration deep into the skin. It also contains several soothing ingredients such as witch hazel extract, green tea leaf extract, rosemary leaf extract, centella asiatica extract, licorice root extract, panthenol, willow bark extract and more. It’s also formulated with skin identical ingredients such as arginine, squalane, and sodium hyaluronate, which will strengthen the skin barrier.

Ingredients aside, the packaging of this product, as well as all tirtir products, is simple, minimalist, and sleek, making it a wonderful addition to the vanity display. The metallic cap is a nice touch and I love how all tirtir products incorporate a metallic component in the packaging, making the branding cohesive. As of now, the product is only available in one size, 50 ml, however the tirtir beginner kit, also called the glow trial kit, has a sample sos serum at 10 ml, along with 3 other star products. 

I love how this product feels on my skin and the user experience is top tier. It provides an immediate cooling and calming effect and my skin instantly feels more refreshed and hydrated. I reach for this product when my skin is dull and dehydrated, and it does an amazing job of rejuvenating my skin, making it look more healthy and dewy.

The texture of this product is not too thick and not too thin, it’s the ideal viscosity making it suitable to use day or night. It’s the perfect hydrating serum to use in your skin prep routine for makeup as it leaves a glowy, glass skin finish with no sticky residue. It also layers wonderfully with my other morning skincare and there’s absolutely no pilling, especially under makeup!

When I wake up with an angry zit, I make sure to use this in my morning skincare, and the breakout will either be completely gone or greatly reduced by night time! I also love using this product as a pick me up after a night of drinking as my skin gets extremely dehydrated from the alcohol. It brings back the life and hydration into my skin. 

Overall, the Tirtir SOS serum is holy grail status for me and I’ll keep recommending it to people of all skin types and skin concerns. I hope to be able to try more Tirtir serums in the future. Their niacinamide serum, vitamin c serum, and the ceramic milk ampoule have piqued my interest!

This is such a leaky product I would not be able to travel with this at all. If I put it on its side or back liquid WILL leak out through the cracks, so the packaging is faulty. I've seen many people complain about this so I know it's not just mine. 

I love how this toner pad has a jelly side and an exfoliating side so I can choose how I want to use the product. I can use it as a sheet mask, or just swipe one across my face. It's enriched with so many brightening ingredients such as niacinamide, ascorbic acid, tranexemic acid, and glutathione and it's doing a good job of fading my post acne hyperpigmentation. 

The old formulation used to include fragrance and the product used to be marketed as a resveratrol cream even though it was in the very bottom of the ingredient list, which is misleading, but the new formulation doesn’t do that. 

As someone with clog-prone skin, especially during the summer time, I am always looking for a good moisturizer that won’t break me out. The Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream has gone viral on Tiktok for being the best acne and post-acne recovery cream and after using it for a few months, I have to agree. 

This moisturizer includes niacinamide, panthenol, and multiple leafy extracts to soothe irritated skin while also preventing scarring. The old formulation used to contain fragrance, but the renewed one is fragrance free, making it sensitive skin friendly. It’s amazing to heal irritated, troubled, inflamed skin due to the soothing ingredients and it’s also great to use as a post-acne recovery cream to avoid scarring due to the brightening ingredients. 

I love the tube packaging of the product as it dispenses the perfect amount of product and it’s super hygienic. The packaging is simplistic, elegant, and genderless. It contains 50 ml of product but it lasts you a long time because you don’t need to use too much at a time. 

I love using this product whenever my skin is irritated, I have an active breakout, or I’m trying out new products, since it’s so healing and repairing. I consider it to be a barrier repairing moisturizer and a soothing moisturizer for acne-prone skin at the same time. Consistent use of the product brought a noticeable change in my skin where I’m breaking out less and my acne scars aren’t as evident. 

The consistency of the product isn’t too thick but it’s not a gel cream either, it’s a happy medium. It’s a lightweight consistency that is quickly absorbed by the skin, leaving a natural finish. This is definitely a night time moisturizer for me, as I prefer more gel-like textures for the morning, but people with dryer skin types will enjoy this in the morning as well. Using this as a sleeping mask for glowing skin in the morning is another way to use this product. Just slather on a thick layer and enjoy how refreshed your skin will feel in the morning! 

I don’t have many soothing moisturizers that double as barrier repairing, so this will always remain a holy grail and I will continue repurchasing this product. I’m skeptical of trying viral products in case they are just marketing pushes, but this product genuinely lives up to the hype.
