I would like to start using lactic acid and retinol in my skincare due to fine lines and wrinkles starting to appear. My current routine is:

Double cleanse
Toner (am: benton bha toner; pm: naturie skin conditoner)
Essence (I’m looking at mixing TO Niacinamide powder on nights that I will be using retinol)
Serum
Eye cream
Moisturizer 
Sunscreen (am) 

My question is how to layer them properly. I will be alternating my use of lactic and retinol since I know I shouldn’t be using them on the same routine. 

At what stage of my routine can I use the TO granactive retinol and TO lactic acid?

It stings my eyes when I apply it too close to my eyes. Also, I have oily&#47;combo skin. At first it gives me a dewy look, but at the end of the day it kind of makes my skin looks super shiny. I don’t use any makeup, but I’ve tried brushing some powder after applying and it did reduce the shine.

This sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast. It’s light and gives the skin a dewy look.
