I am interested in introducing an exfoliant into my routine to help with acne scars, dry patches and overall dullness in my skin. My skin is dry-normal and can be sensitive. Any recommendations for exfoliants?? I prefer to not use it physical exfoliants because they can irritate my skin quickly... however I’ve never actually tried a chemical exfoliant. I was thinking of trying The Ordinary’s AHA BHA to start? 

Ps. I prefer cruelty free reqs if possible.

Exfoliating Dry-Sensitive Skin

Help! My arm pits have bad hyperpigmentation and are very dark! I only use natural deodorant and I think that has caused some hyperpigmentation. What can I do to lighten this? Are there any masks I can put on my arm pits to lighten them??

How quickly do you introduce new skincare products if you have multiple new ones?

I’m trying to build my skincare routine now that I can experiment without too much concern for break outs. However, my skin can still be quite sensitive and while I don’t get huge cystic zits like before accutane, I have the occasional smallest little bumps sometimes (one wouldn’t really call it acne, but bad eating habits and lack of self care can lead to one of these ever so rarely).

I am currently working on introducing micellar water, a light hydrating toner, a vitamin c serum and a hyaluronic acid serum into my routine.

My current plan for introducing each new product is:

Micellar water
Toner 1 week after introducing the micellar water
Vitamin C (AM application) 1 week after the toner
Hyaluronic acid (PM application) 2 weeks after the vitamin C 

I will probably have to get more sunscreen to introduce somewhere in this time too..

While my skin can be sensitive my skin has reacted well with similar products before. Only the hyaluronic acid is something I have never truly tried before. But I have never tried and of these particular ones before. 

Any suggestions? Should I wait any longer in between new products?

Anyone have any recommendations of a really good brightening mask than also evens your skin tone? I’m trying to build my skincare plan for my wedding and I need a mask that will make my skin nice and even for the day of♥️

I have dry/slightly sensitive skin.

If possible, I prefer cruelty free suggestions

Brightening and Toning mask??

Hey all! I recently went through a course of accutane for 7 months. I’m now 6 months off of it. My skin is SOOO much better, in fact I haven’t had a white head since 9 months ago. 

My only issue is, before I had oily/combination skin. Now my skin is more normal to dry. I’ve had to drastically change my skincare routine multiple times-for the accutane course and now for my new skin type.

Any one have experience with this? Or have product suggestions for normal/dry skin?

Would be too much for acne prone or oily skin. This works best for normal to dry skin that has no concern for breakouts. Plus you have to keep it in the fridge. It alao has fragence which can be a slin care no no

I used this mask when i worked for lush. I dont recommend a lot of lush stuff as “natural” doesnt always mean good. However, this mask made my dry skin (pre-acutane but i was using retnin-A and other drying meds) feel like a babys butt. So soft and smooth and hydrated.

Theres no description so show how much % the absorbic acid is... and for $45 I would expect to see just how much is actually in there. I did notice a brightening effect but it did nothing for my overall tone and appearance.

Ive tried samples of this serum multiple times. It absorbs well and I was even told while using it that my skin looked RADIENT which felt great.

This sunscreen made my skin burn! I used it after my usual routine and it burned so bad i had to take it off. It made my skin inflamed the whole day. Before that reaction, every time i used it, my eyes would burn and water, but only much after i used it. I would go out after putting it on and an hour later my eyes would be so bad i couldnt see... and when youre driving thats not a good thing... not a good face sunscreen.

When I first used it, it didnt seem to give me a white cast.

Some people may not like how the wheat can come off of the bar and it needs air to dry properly as to not get too soft. Otherwise not horrible

I love this cleanser for my post accutane skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated! It foams but doesnt leave me feeling dry at all. Ive never had a break out using this. Lasts for a good amount of time too

A little goes a long way. It can be too mositurizing during the summer so I have to switch it out when it gets hot.

I used this both during and after I used accutane. I love how hydrating it is especially during the dry winter. It soaks into the skin well and while very hydrating goes well under makeup.
