this is how my neck area looks now. It has been looking like this for about 3 years now. I’ve been trying to get rid of all the dark spots and hyperpigmentation with many things and it helps a little I would think but not completely. 

The products I am currently using now is:
 Rice water Beight Light Cleansing Oil
SOME BY MI 30 days Miracle Acne clear foam to wash my face
Ginseng Eccsence Water Toner, 
No. 5 Goodbye Blemish Serum and sometimes I mix it with vitamin c booster powder, 
at night milky piggy egf elastic retinol cream, 
and moisturizer pyunkang yul moisture cream 

I sometimes just use TOPICALS faded Brightening & Clearing Serum and moisturize my face with almond oil. 

I need to mention that I sometimes have hair on my face so I use eye brow razors to remove it around my neck area or I equally wax my face on my own. Which then gives me ingrown hairs causing me to use tweezers to remove them. I don’t wax my face anymore and just use the tweezers or razor. 

I equally use SPF on the daily. 

I have an appointment with my dermatologist in June 2024 which is where I’ll get help for any of my skin concerns. 

In the meantime, i’m BEGGING anyone to help me get ride of these dark spots😭😭😭 I don’t want to keep changing up my routine and buying new skincare. I was thinking of buying vitamin C oil off of amazon and just use that and minimal products to see if it will show any improvements. PLEASEEE

I’ve had many routines before but overtime I have simplified my routine down to about 5 products at most. My routine has consisted entirely of brands we all know around America etc. The only Korean products I owned was COSRX both snail and advanced mucin, and THE FACE SHOP Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam. I decided to give myself a new routine once more consisting of the Good Molecules products, CeraVe, and Faded (the products listed below) I used these products AM and PM (obviously not using all of them at once) in February 2023 up until about about May and I was able to notice a bit of change but not enough to my satisfaction. I have a bit of hyperpigmentation around my face but dark spots are the most prominent, especially under my neck area. I was so exahausted and booked with a dermatologist but my appointment isn’t anytime soon. So I’ve taken the root of just switching completely to Korean skincare to see how well my skin will respond. I have very sensitive skin so I believe most of the products will work well for me. So far this is what I’ve planned:

Changing my routine to fully Korean skincare

is it wise to rub oils (like grapeseed oil for example) on your face for the PM??? like you use a face oil first then your normal moisturizer. isn’t it ‘not good’ to use oils during the PM because it’s like frying your face in the sun?

many people, and a few skincare specialists who i follow say not to use an exfoliating brush. but is it okay to use the silicone exfoiling brushes?

as someone with melanated skin this product is awful. it leaves a very obvious white cast on the entire face and the only way to really get rid of the white cast is that you rub into your face profusely until the cast is no longer visible. if youre BIPOC don’t buy this product; unless you dont mind having a white cast on your face.

this product is very good for what it does. its also ‘moisturizing’ when you put it on your face; like its not matte, but will give you a glow&#47;shine on your face.

It leaves such a BAD white cast on the face. Even after putting it on, it doesn’t melt into the skin, it just stays there as a white cast. Smells awful like tires of a truck. 

It does the job of an SPF. I wear this if I’m going out to help with yard work or running a quick errand. I wear a huge sun hat even after wearing SPF, so I don’t care about the white cast during these times. 

So far there is nothing negative I have to say about it.

Amazing SPF. Super Lightweight and completely melts into the skin giving such a nice, but very light glowly and dewy look. Fragrance free as well.

Neutrogena products always seem to break me out, and this has somewhat of a strong chemical scent. It’s also sticky; which is why I stopped applying it to my hands.

Awesome application stick, SUPERRRR LIGHTWEIGHT, ZERO white cast, it’s like a clear lotion going onto the skin, fragrance feee and very easy application.
