How to Win on Picky (Giveaways + Rewards)

But let me be real, it’s not perfect. If I use too much, it feels greasy. I still have to reapply after eating, and it won’t heal very deep cracks overnight. Also, because it has fragrance and colorants, anyone with super sensitive lips should patch test first.

Still, I carry it everywhere. It has become my everyday essential because It’s simple, works for me, and it makes my lips look healthy and dewy even during harmattan.


I’ve always struggled with dry lips, especially during harmattan my lips would become worse. They’d peel, crack, sometimes even bleed. I tried lip glosses and chapsticks but they never really helped; they just gave shine for a moment and left my lips dry again.

When I started using Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips, I noticed a change. The main ingredient is petrolatum(petroleum jelly) which acts like a protective barrier. It doesn’t add water, but it locks in the moisture that’s already there. That’s why my lips stayed softer and didn’t peel as much. It also has almond oil and rose oil which add a light nourishing feel and give that faint rosy tint I love. My lips even started looking a bit more even in tone over time.

On first use, there was a little tingling (my sensitive skin always feels that with acids), but it went away after a few minutes. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave me greasy, which is a huge plus for oily skin.

After a few weeks, I noticed my skin looked less shiny during the day, and small breakouts on my chin cleared up faster. But if I use it daily, it makes my skin a bit dry and irritated, so I limit it to 2–3 times a week and always follow with moisturizer.

Overall, I’d say this is a great product if you have oily skin and want something to gently exfoliate and control breakouts. Just go slow if you’re sensitive like me. Honestly, being able to use a product without feeling embarrassed about my skin feels like progress, and that’s what matters most. 💕


 I used to struggle with really bad acne and eczema. Honestly, I hated my face back then, I didn’t like going out, and sometimes I even skipped school because people kept staring. That season made me very cautious with things I put on my face, because my sensitive skin reacts so easily.

When I came across The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, I hoped it would help balance my oily skin and calm breakouts without triggering irritation. Back then I didn’t know much about ingredients, I just wanted clear skin but now I’m slowly learning what works for me, like salicylic acid for breakouts and gentle hydration for sensitivity.

The packaging is simple but sturdy, and I like that the dropper makes it easy to control how much I use. I usually apply 2–3 drops after cleansing.

It also contains fragrance, which gives it that signature baby scent (though people with very sensitive skin might react).

On my skin, it leaves a soft, smooth glow almost like a natural highlight. I like it most during harmattan when my arms and legs feel dry. But if I use too much, it can feel greasy and heavy, and it doesn’t absorb as quickly as lotions.

Still, it’s affordable, easy to find anywhere, and a timeless product that reminds me of home.

Growing up, my mum always used Johnson’s Baby Oil on us after baths, and I still find myself reaching for it sometimes. It’s such a simple product, but it works.

The main ingredient here is Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum) it doesn’t actually “add” moisture but locks in whatever water is already on your skin. That’s why it’s best applied on damp skin, right after a shower, to seal in hydration.
