Hi, so I am looking for a fantastic toner that doesn't have these ingredients. My skin recently had a traumatic experience with niacinamide. It was not a good time. 

And, I am starting a retinol. So, I want something that will mix well with that. Also will help it work, and lend a hand if or when my skin dries out, or peels. 

I am very much not looking forward to this, and I am hoping for a nice cooling-esque toner. So if you can recommend anything. 

I have also added at the bottom the couple of toners that I have had my eye on, so if you have had any experience with these, or any others that you can share, I would be grateful.

Any suggestions on a great toner without niacinamide, AHA, BHA, PHA, Vitamin-C, hylaronic acids or anything else that doesn't go well with retinol? Aging/dry/combo skin.

Ok... let's get into why I am only giving it three stars⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved all if these products, by themselves. But this is a kit. And because it is a kit, I imagine M&M making it to use all the products in succession. 

I used it like this, at first. Let me start by saying I do not have sensitive skin. I can handle fragrence, and I can change products without having any problems. So, I used the kit, and my face turned bright red, hurt terribly, and I had painful hive like marks on my cheeks, only after a day or two. It really did hurt. I was very confused. I didn't change anything, but added this kit. So, I read up on the ingredients...

Everything I read said not to mix niacinamide and PHA or AHA. The toner has PHA and AHA, and the serum has niacinamide. What I read said, you can use one in the morning and one at night. Or.. if you have sensitive skin, consecutive days. Which I find very, very strange... isn't this kit to soothe sensitive skin? 

Luckily I had the very nice Sensitive Soothing Gel Cream to help with my very painful, red, burning face from this kit. 

If you are reading this, please tell me if it is just me...

Let's get into what it comes with... 

💚Vegan Low PH Hyaluronic Gel Cleanser- this is a really great cleanser, and one of my favorite products from the kit. It leaves a very nice clean feeling, and the skin doesn't feel the least bit tight. It comes out of the tube as a gel, but when mixed with water it foams up quite nice. It also turns purple when it hits acidic skin, which is pretty neat. 

💚Vegan Cica Tea Tree AHA PHA Blemish toner, this has a scent, but I think it is the tea tree oil. Tea Tree is incredible for the skin, it can combat oily skin, soothe dry skin, helps with swelling, calms redness and inflammation. Plus, it is a great choice for treating acne. 

💚Niacinamide Chaenomeles Sinensis Serum, this is a nice serum, also has a nice scent. It is like menthol, but not. Has an oily feel, that I really liked. And I didnt need much to cover my entire face, and décolletage.  Chaenomeles Sinensis or quince has abundant Vitamin C,  brightens and soften skins. The antioxidants help the skin maintain youthful appearance, elasticity and allows the skin to glow. Results are bright, smooth, and glowing skin.

💚Sensitive Soothing Gel Cream, this is a great moisturizer. Is 71.8% Houttuynia Cordata, which soothes acne prone skin, and antibacterial properties reduce acne triggers. It also helps unclog pores, and remove skin impurities. It is a good cream, but I felt like I needed a bunch of it to cover my entire face. I used it like a moisturizer but the gel-like formula makes it feel like you could use it as a spot treatment. 

💚Cica Soothing Sun CREAM SPF 50 PA++++, This is another of my favorites. 
I was able to put this on over makeup without peeling. But for reference I don't wear much makeup. 
It applies like a moisturizer, this is a really fantastic product. 
It has hylaronic acid, niacinamide, Inositol and Betaine. Inositol helps improve skin appearance by reducing dryness, recovering elasticity and adjusting sebum secretions.
 Betaine is a humectant amino acid with incredible hydrating powers. Due to these hydrating and skin-plumping properties, it is a good ingredient for dry skin as well as aging skin. 
But, the very best part SPF 50 offers a high level of protection against UVB rays, while PA++++ provides exceptional defense against UVA rays. Also, it is reef-safe! 



It is called, "Mugwort super calming toner" but only has 22ppm or 0.0022% which is not much, at all. So I wish it was called something else, because the Mugwort isn't really the active ingredient. 

This is a very lightweight toner, and it feels like almost nothing on the skin. It absorbs quickly without clogging pores, and claims to provide multi-layer hydration. 

It is a hydrating toner that delivers skin soothing and calming benefits, suitable for acne-prone skin. 

It is formulated with 100% natural ingredients, it is cruelty-free, vegan, and free from parabens and alcohol. 

Formulated with Mugwort extract from Yeongchan that contains flavonoid that calms the skin, and reduces redness from inflammation. 

Contains probiotics that nourish and help create a healthy environment on, and in the skin. 

Enriched with Centella Asiaticia Extract and Houttuynia Cordata Extract for extra soothing properties. 

Contains 3 types of HA to hydrate skin, and form a moisture barrier. 


I really can't think of anything I disliked about this. Even the smell is pleasant, and not made from fragrance but I think it is the bergamot and orange peel. 

This product is absolutely gorgeous!

It absorbed quickly, and has a watery like texture. Doesn't strip the skin, isn't sticky or greasy.

Let's get into what is in it! 

Triple hyaluronic acids- lock in moisture in layers of skin from shallow to deep to boost elasticity. 

High HA hydrates skin, builds the moisture barrier
Medium HA keeps the skin moisture
Low HA deeply moisturizes into the skin

Probiotics-keeps skin in a balanced state, protects from environmental toxins and bacteria, calms skin conditions like acne. Eczema, and Rosacea

Kombucha- has 100 times more powerful antioxidants than Vitamin-C and is 24 times more effective than Vitamin-E  in immunity improvement. 

calms, nourishes, soothes, balances, clarifys, helps texture, shrinks pores, makes skin softer,  and smoother. Prevents signs of aging, and gives a healthy glow. 

Kombucha or fermented black tea fixes fine lines by neutralizing the effects of free radicals, helps protect and acts as a barrier from environmental damage like uv rays and pollution.

 The skin cleaning and antioxidant properties flush out toxins that cause blemishes.  

It didn't go super far, I uses it twice then took these videos, you can tell how much is gone. Soo much. But other than that it is perfect.

I started looking at Snail Mucin because I  heard such incredible things about it, but as much as they claimed that the snails were not harmed, I was still not so sure. 

But then, I was gifted this. It looks exactly like the trending snail mucin.  

Except... MADE FROM BEANS 🫘

The other thing this mucin does that trendy Snail Mucins don't do is you can use this as an exfoliate! 

"After cleansing, apply the Bean Essence to the skin and roll it in circular motions. When you start to feel grain-like particles coming g out, apply the Bean Essence again, and keep massaging. 

Wash off impurities with lukewarm water or wipe them off with a toner pad. 

It gently removes dead skin cells, sebum, and blackheads while moisturizing and enhancing skin texture. " 

I mostly used it for its moisturizing properties. Not only did it moisturize like nothing I have ever used,  but it also made my skin feel unbelievably soft!! 

I will buy this over, and over. It is a very special product. 
And no snails🐌🐌🐌 were harmed in the making of this product

The reason I am not giving these 5 stars is because I am still dealing with feet that need moisture. 

I would recommend only using these if you need them. My feet were a little dry, and so the week before I did a moisterized foot mask, and they were perfect. 

I only did this mask because I needed something to do during my self-care day.... it wasn't a good idea. 

My feet were very, very itchy overnight, and because I was asleep, I scratched. Not very bright. 

As you can see in the photo, my feet are wrinkled and gross, they did not look like this before the mask. 



I really loved how they were so big, they could fit any sized feet, reasonably.

I also didn't have any problems walking around in them at all. I have wore other foot masks that developed holes after so long. 

They were easy to open, and self-explanatory. 

The smell was almost non-existent, and what I could smell was quite pleasant. 

My feet started peeling after one night, it started at the top, and ended by my heels. 

I have heard two schools of thought, one said to keep your feet dry throughout, and do some hot foot baths if the itch became too much. 

The second was you can use lotion. 

I would recommend the first. Lotion defeats the purpose to the dry skin. Causing the skin to be moisterized, and I would think, less likely to fall off. 

I took a few oatmeal and black tea foot baths because my feet were itchy, and I was worried I would hurt the skin barrier.
