I have a question which might seem silly but I do feel curious.

So, I am new on Picky, loving it really much already ! I spend a lot of time checking products and recently I started checking out the products I use in my routine... only to find out that most of my go to products  aren’t holy grails at all for my skin type... they are even considered risky ! 

For a moment I wondered if I should just throw everything away and build a new routine again 😔...

Were you ever in the same position, when you were just a wee Picky baby ? What would you do ?

Throwing away my whole routine !?

It hasn’t even been Halloween yet and yet, Advent Calendars ads have been popping massively lately 👀 💝 

I used to buy advent calendars with the little chocolates inside, only recently I started getting calendars from makeup brands. But this year, I wanted to see if I could feed my skincare addiction while waiting for xmas 🎅 

I know the Yesstyle one is highly sought after. For my europeans skincare pals, Miin Cosmetics has its own advent calendar too… but I was wondering if there wasn’t any other Asian skincare brands having their own advent calendars ? Did I miss any ? Do you guys usually get an advent calendar ? 

I am really interested ✨ !

Hello Picky ! I am currently using The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and yesterday I noticed upon getting the product in my hand that it had developed a strange smell when it’s usually pretty much odourless. And by strange I mean slightly off-putting.
It happened to me two years ago with their Mandelic acid but as I was traveling and not at home I put it on environment differences triggering my mandelic acid and I stopped using it completely.
But this time, my Hyaluronic acid hasn’t left my bedroom which is pretty much always dark and cool and I only opened the bottle 2 months ago.

Do you think it has gone bad already ? Has it ever happened to you ? Should I stop using this bottle of Hyaluronic Acid ? Is there another brand you would recommend for  Hyaluronic Acid 👀??

The Ordinary product developing a weird smell

Hello Picky community !

Few days ago I have gotten myself a new tattoo and I have been moisturising it with Avene’s Cicalfate+ (it’s the one I always use on new tattoos !). But since I am a airhead, I forgot my brand new tube at work 😔 !

I have coconut oil in a tub but it’s pretty old and has been used so many time I am pretty sure it’s a pool of germs so not sure it’s a good idea…

Suddenly I noticed my bottle of SQUALANE OIL from The Ordinary and my brain kinda went 💡 !

So my question is the following : is it okay to apply squalane oil on my new tattoo ?

I know I could just wait until I get to work tomorrow buuut the feeling of tightness on my tattoo drives me crazy 😔!

And honestly, I am kinda hoping you guys drop here your favourite tattoo moisturising tips too haha !

🌲Well I didn’t like the smell but not to the point that it will impact my review haha🌲

🌲At first I was a bit hesitant because of the smell and the leafy bits in the product. The smell is really hm… green ? Natural ? Well i am not really a fan and I was surprised to see so many people loving it hahah ! To each their own. As for the leafy bits, they are super supple and soft so you dont feel them at all on the skin.🌲

🌲The mask was fairly easy to rinse too with lukewarm water, even with the leafy bits !🌲

🌲The most important thing though is how smooth my skin felt afterwards though ! Especially because of the leafy bits, I was scared my skin woud act up and become red but not at all ! It felt really soothed in only 10 minutes.🌲

🌲There is only a tiny amount left in the tube, I really need to get some more !🌲

🌱 I don’t really see anything bad about this product. If I am nitpicking I would say that the bottle is a bit girthy but apart from that... 🌱

🍃 This is such a fun product, I had been eyeing it for a long time before deciding to give it a go. My matcha addicted self is really happy with it ! It really does smell faintly of matcha, nothing overpowering, just clean herbal smell. 🍃

🍃 It was my first time to use a powder, although it is advised to melt fully the powder with water, I like from time to time *a tiny* bit of coarseness to give a scrub to grainy areas. As your face and hands are wet, it will eventually melt. 🍃

🍃 As you can imagine, it is a really gentle cleanser. It doesnt foam a lot, but it’s alright, it leaves the skin really feeling fresh and soft ! 🍃

🍯 I wish it was a tad more hydrating, other than that, it’s really good, perfect for summer I would say. 🍯

🍯 I have been eyeing this one for a while before getting it cause I have a passion for bees AND night masks ! It does have a slight sweet honey-like smell, but nothing overpowering. 🍯

🍯  The texture is really light, gel like, feels so fresh on the skin and is absorbed so rapidly ! It doesn’t feel tacky at all. 🍯

🍯 I use it in the morning as well cause it’s light and really agreeable, it doesnt feel heavy at all ! 🍯

🍯 The plastic bottle format feels really convenient and more sanitary !! 🍯

🍯 My face is really soft in the morning !🍯

🌿 i really don’t see anything bad to say about this product !🌿

🌿 My personal holy grail ! My morning routine doesn’t feel complete without it. I have tried other low pH cleansers and they don’t compare at all ! 🌿

🌿 I love the really herbal smell, it reminds me of tea tree essential oil ! 🌿

🌿 It’s really gentle on my skin, after washing my face, my skin feels really soft, this product doesn’t remove the moisture from my skin and yet my face feels fresh and clean ! 🌿

🎋 I don’t see anything bad about it ! Happy ✨ !!🎋

🎋 The smell is subtle, not overly sweet or chemical 🎋

🎋 The mask itself doesn’t feel filmsy at all. Its folded in a way that makes it easy to unfold (i don’t know about you but hard to unfold mask are so annoying to me !!!). There’s a good amount of product which ensures that the mask is thoroughly drenched in essence and there is even a bit of product left in the bag if you want to use it later !🎋 

🎋 It doesnt move much, if you like to actually do things while having a sheet mask... 🎋

🎋 And then after 15-20 minutes, bam, LE GLOW ✨!!!🎋

🎋 I have a sensitive skin my skin looked radiant and soothed, pores tight and spots less red. Even after patting the remaining product into my skin, my face didn’t get hot or redder !🎋
