whenever i apply it, it makes my skin tingle for a minute or two. it has a few ingredients that my skin can be sensitive to (probably salicylic acid and menthyl lactate), but i can’t knock it too hard for this since it does a great job at hydrating my oily skin without overloading my pores, and the irritation goes away quickly once the product is absorbed. it’s also a little pricey for a somewhat small container.

i love gel-cream formulas, and this one feels especially hydrating and nourishing. it contains lots of soothing ingredients as well as probiotics, which are often overlooked in skincare i.m.o. but can help soothe inflammation and heal your moisture barrier. i also like the scent, which reminds me of tangy yogurt!

the “sunscreen” smell is very obvious, and sometimes if i get the product too close to my mouth i end up tasting it all day. it can also be quite irritating to the eyes if i apply it too close to them or accidentally rub my eyes. for these reasons, i don’t reach for it as much as my other spf products in my collection.

my skin generally loves lightweight, gel-cream style products, and this one is no different. it doesn’t look too greasy on my oily skin and has a dewy, fresh finish when applied. i also love the convenience of being a two-in-one moisturizer with spf, and it has a higher spf rating than the other products i’ve tried in that style.
