I’ve been pretty desperate for a solution to my acne so my doctor prescribed me Doxycycline. Seems this is my last resort before Accutane. I’m crossing my fingers this works but I’m really nervous it might show some promising results then as soon as I go off, stop working.

Starting Doxycycline tonight. Words of wisdom?

What is a favourite of yours that you feel is underrated or not yet discovered yet? Here are some of mine :)

Your favourite unique or underrated products?

I am on doxycycline and tret and notice sometimes my regular cleanser can leave my face feeling very stripped and aggravated. I don’t really own any very simple, gentle cleansers and haven’t had the greatest experience with Cerave in the past, so I decided to try this one. Any success with it? My skin is very sensitive and combination (dry cheeks and oily t zone)

I want something super simple so my other products can do the work and my face is just cleansed of the day.
I wear spf and sometimes makeup so I’m thinking I may still have to double cleanse, but double cleansing is always so harsh on my skin.

Just purchased this Vanicream Cleanser. How do you like it?

Hey there! I am currently in cosmetology school for Esthetics. I was just curious if there are any fellow Estheticians out there and what your specialty is + what inspired you to enter this field?

For me it was a definite love of skincare and struggling through hormonal cystic acne for years. I am very interested in enhancing the natural appearance of skin through science proven methods and one day hope to own a very inclusive med spa. :)

I should have skipped this. This made me look like a literal orange. The worst orange colour I’ve ever seen. I do not understand the hype surrounding this product.

Well, I saw that this product is always out of stock and so I decided to try it when it was restocked. It’s an SPF, and sunscreen is important.

This is not silicone or benzoyl alcohol free so it’s a possible irritant. I would recommend this as a first cleanse only.

This is definitely a sufficient cleansing balm. The product is hydrating and non-stripping. The oat kernel oil is non comedogenic and can help to reduce inflammation, and I am a fan of any product which uses colloidal oatmeal.

This has been the only vitamin C serum I have tried that produces absolutely no sensitivity on my skin. I am glad I ran into this product browsing at a general store...I read the ingredients list and knew I couldn’t pass it up. So far I can see it’s assisted in lighting my hyperpigmentation and I enjoy layering this underneath the rest of my skincare routine in the AM. The texture is nice and easily soaks into the skin.

There is nothing too special about this. A chemical exfoliant is less risky and can address a wider range of concerns than this physical exfoliant.

It’s nice for a deep exfoliation and as it uses rice powder it is not overly abrasive to the skin.
