Hi! I have been struggeling with skin picking for a very long time, and I pick on just about anything I can find. It is super frustrating and I really want to stop, but I am finding it difficult. I don’t have a lot of acne, but I do have small bumps on my forehead that are nearly invisible and I also have some blackheads here and there. After I pick, my skin always turn red and I get pimples/irritated spots in some places. I am very self conscious about my skin and the fact that I am making it worse is very shameful. Do you have any tips and/or products that can help me achieve a pick-free life?

My routine:
-(night only) Oil cleanser
-(night only) SA cleanser from Cerave
-2%BHA and 1%zinc toner
-5% benzoyl peroxide cream 
-Moisturizing Lotion from Cerave
-(morning only) Sunscreen

I use a rescue balm from HERO cosmetics when I have picked, but I don’t really feel it doing anything. 

Also, I have recently started using a niacinamide toner with a thicker consistency after my other toner, but I haven’t even been using it for a week so I don’t know if it will be good for my skin or not. It does contain Isopropyl Palmitate which I have heard can clog your pores, but I guess I’ll have to see. 

Would really appreciate any input, I am kind of desperate.

Skin Picking

It does not target white- and blackheads, which is very annoying. My acne might have gone down, but I can still feel texture on my forehead form clogged pores. I also don’t know how this will react with oiler skin. I don’t think it does a whole lot but balancing your skin so keep that in mind.

I have had moderate acne and acne scarring on my face for about one and a half year now, and this really helped my acne calm down. It has helped a bit on my scarring, though not a lot and does not target the deeper scars I have. I did not break out when I started using this, which I often do when trying new products. It is also not very fragrant, which I like. I am also not the best at not picking on my skin, and this has helped calm my skin down and recover way faster than previously.
