It was out of stock for such a long time and I was so worried it was being discontinued. I checked all of the Shiseido socials / news and didn’t see any info. I wish brand would let us know when / if they are re-formulating or something. Maybe I missed it or it was mentioned in a comment but for such a popular product it would’ve been nice to have a clear understanding of why it was M.I.A. For so long!

This product is the strangest but somehow also the most desirable foundation I’ve ever tried?! 

I grew up with horrible acne and never had the best experience with finding a foundation; TLDR- the texture on my face is also not ideal to me personally, and I wish I had beautiful skin. I went from double wear, Dior forever, ABH luminous foundation- L’Oréal pro matte, Maybelline fit me- the list continues. Nothing ever totally fit what I was looking for. 

I don’t want to look so glowy that it wears off in 4 minutes, but I also don’t want to be so matte that I look like crumbling concrete? Somehow though? This foundation seems to blur, smooth, but also remains matte, but also somehow slightly glowy or natural? And by the end of the day the level of oiliness is significantly lower than any other foundation I’ve tried. Every brand says “it will never look oily” but let’s be honest they do by the time you’re about to take your makeup off…. This one is the only one that has the LEAST amount of “oil” 

Some clients did mention a slight tingle and I did notice myself that despite the effectiveness, it didn’t necessarily “hydrate” my skin so I had to be strategic of when I used it. As a makeup prep product for photoshoots though- it was lovely.

I purchased this product a while ago for my makeup kit after seeing an instagram post about how great it was for prepping skin before makeup applications; I absolutely LOVE this product so much. 

It’s gentle, effective and removes dead skin on the surface of the skin without producing any redness. I’ve used it on probably hundreds of clients as well as myself at this point and no one has reacted negatively. I’m unsure if this product is still for sale; but it will- and has been- a staple for my kit, especially when preparing models for beauty photography!
