This is the Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-fit Sun Serum with SPF 50+ PA++++. It’s designed to moisturize, brighten, and provide UV protection all while being non-irritating to the skin. 

It contains some great ingredients:

I’ve tried a few different skincare products from Skin 1004 but never a sun cream so I was a little nervous with how high this SPF is and how well it absorbs into the skin because as you know, complexion or darker skin tones always find the cast in sunscreens! 

Luckily, this was not one of them! I’m very picky when it comes down to sunscreens especially higher ones because they always, ALWAYS leave a cast so it’s harder to find ones that do it’s job without the unnecessary ghost face. First off, I love the pump top on this gorgeous packaging which is something new to me in a SPF Bottle like this. The formula is made with blemish prone babes in mind which is something I love, dealing with acne all my life. It’s also moisturizing and hydrating without feeling heavy or bringing out the texture in my skin. At first it does look very dewy which is something I don’t mind, but as it absorbs it fades away a bit. And most of all - THERE IS NOT ONE BIT OF CAST! 

I highly recommend for all my ethnic babies out here and summer isn’t just for skincare either so make sure you wear your SPF everyday! 

Transitioning Skincare when seasons change is important especially if you don’t have normal skin all year round. Some of us get drier during colder seasons and others, oilier when the heat kicks in so products that do the opposite can actually mess up and confuse our skin. So far I’ve been loving this serum! It’s rich and moisturizing and because of my combo skin, it makes it a perfect addition into my routine. The added Aloe and Ceramides are perfect for soothing and repairing my acne breakouts while the added pearl extract gives a beautiful dewiness to my skin. I honestly would use this serum in my summer routine as well, but only during the night routine to add and lock in well needed moisture. The pump applicator and gorgeous Blue packaging makes it a must have in my skincare collection for aesthetics and easy application! 


I wouldn’t use this towards the summer, as my skin gets oilier towards those heat filled months but as for now - I’ll be using this every morning!

I use Centella Asiatica in my routine almost everyday! Alongside acne fighting ingredients already in your routine like Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree, or others - this adds an extra layer of protection and healing to your acne prone skin routine which is great for those who are pimple poppers and leaves scars afterwards. As someone who deals with Combo to Dry Skin during winter, this is a great addition in my regime as it adds moisture and soothes the skin. It leaves a light layer of hydration and because it acts like a toner and serum - you can create a simplistic routine (if you wanted to). Just use a good cleanser, apply the essence and then your moisturizer to finish off! You can use this with your hands or on a cotton pad like I did. It is a little pricey but I love that this essence is made with literally one ingredient which is Centella also known as Tiger Herb so you don’t have to second guess what’s in it or what’s going on your face. 

Pure’ams’ Amino Acid Mild Cleanser is formulated with 100% Amino Acid surfactants, Salicylic Acid, Mugwort Extract, Tea Tree Leaf Extract, & Dandelion Leaf Extract. This is a gel cream to foam cleanser that is meant for sensitive, oily, and/or acne prone skin types. It’s made to be gentle on the skin yet powerful enough to deep cleanse and detoxify without stripping or irritating the skin. It’s also Sulfate, Paraben, Fragrance, & Cruelty Free as well as Vegan! I love acne care cleansers and skincare towards my night routine since I tend to use Vitamin C (an active) in the morning. This cleanser fits perfectly into my routine and I love that there’s no sulfates and still can provide loads of foam and bubbles which is something I personally love in a cleanser! It starts off like a cream and gets foamy within seconds. If you keep adding water, it gets bubbly as you go so it’s up to you how you like to cleanse with this. It washes off easily and I don’t feel any strip in my skin. I love that it’s made with salicylic acid which aids in preventing acne and exfoliating at the same time. It’s also not irritating to my already blemish prone skin. I love the simple yet colorful packaging and it smells pretty good too. It has the scent of tea tree with a hint of floral notes with the rosemary and dandelion extracts. My main reason of loving micro foam cleansers so much is that a little goes a long way so the price is never something I really worry about. Overall, this is a great cleanser for anyone who deals with excess oils, blemish prone skin, or even just wants a gentle exfoliation! Ethnic Skin Approved! 💕😍

It’s a little hard to get around the nose area but nothing major.

I loved the Silky Serum SPF (Original Version) and I love this one too! This is my first time trying a SPF Stick and it’s so convenient and easy to use! It’s so small which makes it travel friendly and the packaging seems very sustainable (no upside down tubing and waste of product). The formula needs a second to heat up if you live in a colder climate/during a colder season but it heats within seconds and dosen’t feel like you slathered your face with a bunch of grease. It has a silky or slippery texture at first. It appears to smooth my skin which is perfect under makeup and there’s no weird residue or white cast - do beware and make sure you wait a good amount of time for your moisturizer to settle and absorb because you will deal with pilling but it works great with all my products aside from that. I also like that there’s no scent and it does Mattify and feel like a soft powder after some time. Overall, it’s another favorite for me - I’d repurchase!
