This contains essential oils which some people may not tolerate

Dr Ceuracle has two exciting new releases! They are the Vegan Active Berry First Essence and Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream. I’ve had a chance to try them out for a couple of weeks and here are my initial thoughts: 

These products feature Dr Ceuracle’s encapsulated Active Berry Complex, which consists of 3 ingredients: 
🍇 Resveratrol - a potent antioxidant naturally found in berries and grapes. It has the ability to neutralise free radicals (thereby reducing damage on the skin) and increase the production of naturally occurring antioxidants found in skin cells. Resveratrol reduces the appearance of fine lines and uneven skin tone and increases skin elasticity. 

🍇 Grape seed oil - derived from the pressed seeds of grapes, this oil has anti inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial properties. It is also a source of omega fatty acids and vitamin E, which help to moisturise, strengthen the skin barrier and improve elasticity. 

🍇 Cranbetinol - a peptide from cranberry extract with properties similar to vitamin A to boost collagen production.

The capsules simply melt into the skin to release their ingredients.

The lifting cream also contains phyto collagen, hyaluronic acid, ceramide NP and various botanical seed oils. It is a medium weight gel cream with a light airy texture. It feels so cooling and hydrating. This would work well for me in the spring or summer and would be ideal for oily skin types.

The Nacific Sun Essence (SPF50 and PA++++) is a chemical sunscreen with added niacinamide and a few plant extracts and oils. It doesn’t contain fragrance, but the orange peel oil gives it a light citrus scent. It’s their first vegan sunscreen. 

The texture of this - OMG it is heavenly! It’s sooo lightweight and airy 😍 It reminds me a lot of the old Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence because of its similar texture and scent (I haven’t tried the new one, but I adored the old one). It’s lightly hydrating with a soft satin finish. It gives a lit-from-within glow, with no shine or grease. It’s not super thick, it doesn’t have an oily or very-moisturising feeling. And or course, no white cast. To me, this is PERFECTION 🌟 This is what I want all my sunscreens to feel like.

Some may not like the sticky texture. Its a bit more tricky to apply. 

Mixsoon Bean Essence

Ad - PR - I received this product for free from Picky and MIXSOON in exchange for my honest review.

The Mixsoon bean essence contains just four main ingredients:
Fermented soybean extract to moisturise skin and control sebum production.
Fermented pomegranate extract to very very gently exfoliate skin. 
Vitamin-rich barley seed ferment filtrate to moisturise. 
Pear juice ferment filtrate to provide antioxidants.

The product can be used in two ways, but so far I have only used it one way - as a serum. It’s a runny, yet viscous, liquid with a unique sticky texture. I’ve never tried snail mucin, but I assume this is how it feels. Once absorbed into the skin, it doesn’t feel sticky and actually provides a comfortable lightweight layer of hydration.

The other method of use is to apply more pumps to the skin and gently massage it in to exfoliate, then wash or wipe it off. (I honestly forgot about this method, which is why I haven’t tried it yet).

Personally, i prefer normal bottles for sunscreen so i can squeeze it out on my fingers. But thats just personal preference and doesnt take away from the positives of this sunsvreen 


Korean skincare brand Skin1004 released a new sunscreen - the Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum. It is a chemical sunscreen with SPF50+ and PA++++.

This sunscreen boasts a range of skin-caring ingredients which make it so much more than just a sunscreen. It contains niacinamide, Centella asiatica, green tea leaf extract, vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid. These help to hydrate, soothe and moisturise skin.

Not only does the sunscreen arrive in a beautiful box, it comes in a bottle with a pump! The texture of the sunscreen is lightweight. It’s not exactly a serum-like texture, but the idea is that it’s more of a lightweight cream than a heavy texture common in sunscreens. It absorbs quickly and easily and feels like a light moisturiser. Some people would prefer to skip a moisturiser and go straight to this in the mornings.

The first essence also contains hyaluronic acid, ceramide NP and other botanical extracts and essential oils. It is to be applied as a first step after cleansing. It comes out as a viscous liquid, but breaks down into a watery consistency on the skin. It absorbs quickly and lightly hydrates the skin.

The lifting cream also contains phyto collagen, hyaluronic acid, ceramide NP and various botanical seed oils. It is a medium weight gel cream with a light airy texture. It feels so cooling and hydrating. This would work well for me in the spring or summer and would be ideal for oily skin types.
