Hi Pickies! I’ve been recently looking around for affordable skincare and for stores or websites that sell them. Personally, I favor Eastern skincare products over Western, more because I have Asian genes. Let me know your favorite websites or stores that sell affordable products that you love!

Where is your favorite place to get skincare products?

I’ve been using two different foundations for the past year. I currently use Etude House Double Lasting Serum Foundation and also rom&nd Bare Water Cushion. While I love both, the EH one is a bit too heavy for my liking while the rom&nd one is doesn’t cover as much as I’d like and is patchy when I add more. 

I have acne prone skin, concerns with redness, dry cheekbones and chin and an oily T-zone. I prefer glowy finishes over matte for sure! 

I’m looking for a new foundation so please drop me some recommendations. I just bought the AMUSE Meta Fixing Cushion to try since it was on clearance sale where I shop, but I’m not sure if it’ll be a holy grail. Thank you in advance!

This sweet honey lip balm from “i’m from” is a great moisturizing balm that I like to apply over my lipstick to lock in the hydration and keep my lips smooth and happy all day! My lips often get chapped and peel often when not hydrated, so combining this balm with my lip mask is doing wonders. The formula is non-greasy, non-sticky, and can be applied multiple times throughout the day. It has a slight honey scent, but it’s not so strong that you can smell it on your lips — only when you lean in to smell it in the container. Overall, this is a great addition to your skincare routine 🍯

When I run out I would not buy another stick to replace it, just because I feel that there are better options that I am using. This is a great product, but not one of my holy grails. Good news is that this did not make me break out at all.

- Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

I’m enjoying this stick a lot and it’s super easy to use to reapply. I just swipe it across my face until I feel covered and it barely moves my makeup, although when I’m sweatier it does transfer.

The sun stick doesn’t irritate my skin at all or make it more sensitive. I love that there is hyaluronic acid as well because I have dry skin! The sun stick is absolutely amazing as well as scent free and doesn’t leave my face feeling tacky.

There’s barely any whitecast and because it’s a mineral sunscreen it does absorb super quickly and disappears. I don’t notice it much on my skin and I did try my best to get a LOT on for the video so that you could see any possible white cast. 

This toner is watery and runny, but feels a bit tacky on the skin. Like the toner name, it does cleanse the skin if you put it on a cotton pad and swipe it across your face. 

The toner is calming, cooling, and refreshing when I apply it. It’s not scented which is perfect for my sensitive skin. I like how runny the product is before I pat it into my skin because a little goes a long way, and it reminds me of that! 

I have not really noticed many changes using the toner. The good thing is that it doesn’t break me out, but I haven’t noticed the brightening of the skin. 

When I were to run out of this product, I’d likely not purchase again, and look for an alternative or continue using my preferred toners. While this is great, I’m not sure it would replace any of my holy grails.

The only issue I have with the ampoule is that it separates really easily. If you let it sit, it will separate and you will have to shake it again. It’s double layered with an ampoule and a moisturizing cream.

When I run out of this product, I would possibly consider buying it again. It has good effects, but I could likely find another product that is less sticky.

I did the 2 Week Challenge with the TYF Rice Pure Cream in Ampoule! Now, I will share my experience with it ❤️

This product is a brightening ampoule that can be used every day with mild ingredients, fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic formula. I used it in my PM routine because I felt the formula was a little thick and too sticky for my AM routine without putting on makeup although it does work as a good makeup base since it is tacky!

This ampoule brightened my skin and really gives off the shiny glass skin effect. After I put foundation on, my skin is way more shiny and glassy, and looks very hydrated and healthy. One of the tips from the TYF team is to mix the ampoule with foundation for a smooth, glassy look!

- my only issue is that it pills and i’m not sure how to stop it. i’ve tried layering it differently and also waiting 3-4 minutes between layers. 
- i would still recommend if i figure out what’s causing the pilling, because it might be one of my own products or just my skin that’s the issue.

I saw this first on TikTok where someone was comparing using it on half of their face and the results were amazing!! I was so excited to try it out.

My thoughts: 
- the texture reminded me of my favorite snail mucin, but a little more sticky and it definitely pulls apart like the fibers of a lotus root
- there is no smell to it which is great!! i was scared it’d smell something like nattō or strongly of beans
- it’s been working great on my skin! i haven’t had any problems with irritation or skin sensitivity.
- the packaging is so cute and simple, and is definitely something i love showing to my friends that i own.
