I’ve been loving this cute set! It’s been a great relief to have moisturizing products as the weather is getting colder and my skin is getting drier. 

Initial thoughts: I really enjoyed the compact, gender-neutral packaging. It definitely has the same aesthetic as the packaging from The Ordinary. From checking out the website, it seems they have a similar philosophy too; it’s all about ‘building your own simplified K-beauty routine’. They have different products, mostly serums, oils, and ampoules. Many of these are conveniently bundled targeted for specific skincare needs. 

The Deep Hydration Trio that I received includes two ampoules along with a Jojoba oil serum. Each is 20ml (0.67 fl. oz.) and comes in a frosted glass bottle with a glass dropper. The size of each was a bit smaller than I’m used to, and the dropper did stick a bit when taking it in and out of the bottle. 

The products themselves, however, are great! I found them very high quality, they absorbed quickly into my skin with no sticky feeling, and had no extra ingredients. 

✨✨They are also cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, and have no artificial fragrance! ✨✨

The products:
1) 💦Hyaluronic Acid Ampoule 💦

Ingredients: Water, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate.

How I used it: I used this in the AM after cleansing and facial mist. 

Thoughts: I love products with hyaluronic acid, and this was no exception! Even after trying this out for a few weeks, I still find myself reaching for this more frequently than another HA serum I have open. This is so moisturizing, and always feels like a big refreshing drink for my skin.

2)🧴 Jojoba Oil Serum🧴

Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil
How I used it: I used this twice a week as the last step of my PM routine over a sleeping mask. I also used this on dry spots on my elbows. 

Thoughts: I love that this is just Jojoba oil! That really makes me feel like I’m getting a good value, and definitely gave good results. This gave a nice extra boost of hydration, and almost instantly smoothed and hydrated rough patches of skin. I did find I preferred this for my body than my face, though. That may change during the winter, however! 

3) 💦 Peptide Ampoule 💦

Ingredients: Water, Butylene glycol, Pentylene glycol, Dehydroxanthan Gum, Tranexamoyl Dipeptide-22, Hexapeptide-9, Tripeptide-29, Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Nicotinoyl Dipeptide-22, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Copper Tripeptide-1

How I used it: I used this daily in my PM routine after cleansing and facial mist.

Thoughts: This was easily my favourite of the trio! It was super moisturizing and soothing. It definitely lived up to the website’s claims of “soothing and nourishing exhausted and irritated skin.” I only wish that there was more information about what each of the included peptides is supposed to do! I’m not familiar with the scientific names, and don’t know what makes one peptide different from another. And why this particular combination?

Overall, this trio is one  I wouldn’t necessarily have purchased as I wasn’t familiar with the brand. Now, however, I’ll be on the lookout for more products from The Potions! I’m already eyeing their “Barrier Builder” set! 🙈

The Potions Deep Hydration Trio Review

I’ve almost used up my Herbivore Cloud Jelly moisturizing serum, and I want to know what to try next! Any suggestions?

Moisturizing Serum Suggestions?

There was a bit of a sticky sensation that remained after using. Also, the first time I used it I massaged a bit too hard and the roller left a bit of redness.

I received this free from Picky and CKD Guaranteed in exchange for my honest review. This is a really fun concept! I enjoyed the light lavender scent and the cooling feeling when applying. It was a very relaxing experience to use this. The cream itself had a nice light texture and left my neck feeling soft and moisturized.

There was a bit of stickiness and some redness when applying.

I enjoyed the light floral scent of this product and the smooth texture. I also liked that this caused minimal irritation and didn’t over dry my skin. This definitely seems like a retinol product that I could incorporate in my skincare routine.


I didn’t care for the texture of this. It left my skin feeling sticky for several hours after using. It also caused some redness after applying, although this did go away 
after a few minutes.

I noticed a slight lightening of dark spots after using this serum daily for 2 weeks. I also noticed slight brightening.

Nothing bad about this for me! It does smell a bit like pool water (because of the hypochlorous acid), which may be a turn off for some, but the smell is very light and dissipates quickly.

This spray has been a lifesaver for my skin! It’s soothing, refreshing, and calming. The spray is nice and light and absorbs quickly. There’s no residue after using, just soft, refreshed skin. It helps soothe my skin when it’s irritated from sun, exercise, or the pool.

There was a slight stickiness from the serum after using the mask, but nothing too bad.

This mask was very hydrating, cooling, and relaxing. It was like a drink of water for my skin. The fabric of the mask was very thick and soft, and there was so much serum! The serum absorbed well and left my skin feeling soft.
