we all know that sunscreen is one of the number one rules in skincare, but when you have mental health issues, neurodivergency, or just a plain off day consistency in routine can be difficult.

as somebody who works outside all day, i know when i forget a day of sunscreen i may be facing some sun damage, even though i dont get sunburn.

what sort of aftercare or changes in routine do you recommend when we forget to wear sunscreen when outside?

What is cleansing oil for? I have heard a lot about this double cleansing, but I mostly see it for people who wear makeup. I don’t wear makeup, but I do work a very physical rough outdoors job. Should cleansing oil be a part of my routine?? How about in the winter, when I am not working outside?

Do non-makeup wearers need to use cleansing oil?

Nothing negative about the product itself per se. This is not a life changing holy grail, it will not do anything to change your skin itself, it is more like it will not harm/irritate you. Lack of actives means that this product will not specifically target any skin concerns.

EDIT: I have taken some more time to think about this product and concluded that sometimes less is more. This is meant to be a gentle product for sensitive skin, and for that it works great. I will continue to have this on hand as I do like it.

I use this product 1-2x a day. It is gentle and my skin does not feel stripped afterwards or even if I forgot to moisturize (gasp).

This product is a great option for those like myself who are just starting out with skincare: not wanting to overload the skin with too many products or actives, and going for a trusted dermatologist approved brand that most likely cause your skin any harm. 

Nothing bad, some may not like the smell but I love it!

I love this lotion! I didnt realize how much I hate lotions and their consistency, and the hassle of waiting for the lotion to absorb after the shower and being so lotiony in my clothes. This is lightweight when compared to cetaphils other lotions. In the photo I’ve compared the SheerHydration (left) consistency with the Cetaphil DailyAdvance Lotion (right). You can see that this lotion is much lighter weight, and it absorbs into my skin faster than other lotions. It also has a really nice smell and contains hyaluronic acid so I know my skin is getting the hydration it needs. 

I have heard this can make people’s face sting, but it has only done that to me if I have been picking my skin (oops), but it only lasted a second. Another thing many may see as a con is the next morning I have several pimples that were under my skin that have come to a head. I see this as impurities being drawn out, and use pimple patches when I wake up but it may not be the best product to use before picture day if you have acne like me. 

This product is seriously a game changer for me. I thiught my skin just naturally had tiny bumps on my forehead that I had to learn to love. Well apparently they aren’t permanent residents, and this product legitimately makes most of them go away overnight. I use this about once a week, and the next day I wake up with glowing skin. I also had stubborn acne marks/hyperpigmentation, and after a couple weeks of using this product, I can say that I do notice a difference in the marks. (Photo with glasses is after a couple months of use).

I use this after cleansing right before bed and do not apply moisturizer.
