It’s my birthday today and I had so much fun! My family knows I love skincare and for my birthday they got me all the sheet masks (because they’re my absolute favorite in my routine) and did one with me!!! I love them so much 🥰

Opening up the discussion for what your preference is. Do you prefer to cleanse before or after the shower. I typically like to us the oil cleanse before and foam cleanse during the shower. Following it up with the rest of the routine. What does everyone else do?

You tend to use a lot of the gel. (I always use more than what I put in the palm of my heands)

This is an amazing product! This is something everyone needs!!! 

Initially this wasn’t a product I sought, but was included in a bundle pack and so I got it. The website right now says it’s being sold at $23 as a stand alone. If you get it as a bundle, it becomes a bargain. April Skin does an amazing job explaining their products in regards to the most ingredients used in the product, who needs it and why it’s effective. WOW! What a change it has made!!! It’s a super gentle exfoliation that literally rolls away your dead skin and leaves your skin silky smooth. It has a vegan formula that contains the papain enzyme which digests dead skin cells. 

⭐️ 3 top ingredients used: 
- Calendula flower: Rich in anti-oxidants and helps shed dullness. It’s shown to calm skin as well. 
- Papain + 0.3% PHA: This is the exfoliant of the product that is super gentle. As stated before, it’s what digests the dead skin cells and makes the big “show stopper” of the product. 
- Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates the skin, which is super important after all the skin being scrubbed off by the exfoliation. 

⭐️My thoughts: 
AMAZING! My skin always feels so clean and smooth afterwards. I definitely like to use it when I have blackheads or a dark spot left from acne. It tends to bring all the dirt to the surface and is able to gently scrub off any excess oil, dirt or sebum. It works wonders. At first I was a bit skeptical when all the dead skin was coming off. I thought it was the gel itself. Then I tested it on a clear, hard plastic sheet. As a kept rubbing it in circles, nothing came out. It continued to only be the gel on the sheet and no little bumps formed. The bumps are really your dead skin rubbing off! April Skin calls it their “gommage” technology. Gommage stands for “to erase” in French, so it very fitting. Check out their website for more amplifying information. Regardless if you read my review or the website’s information, IT’S A MUST TRY!!!

Unfortunately, I get a bit of a reaction to it (especially on the days my skin is drier than usual). I used the product on my face and it tends to get itchy. To show you a picture of my reaction, I applied some on my hand and wiped it down (not wash) and within ten minutes, I started getting little bumps and reaction on the area it was applied. I tried getting a picture of thr bumps, but the lighting didn’t really show all the bumps and redness. Just unfortunate, because I really like this product and would have wanted to add to my routine due to all the good collagen.

I really enjoy the fragrance of the toner. In general, I think Medicube has great products! Their website does a great job in explaining each of their products and who it’s geared towards. Below is an explaination of all the benefits for this toner:

My thoughts: 
The product itself is a little thicker than most toners I’ve used before. Its consistently is a little lighter than an essence though. The company actually categorizes the product as both, so it’s something I think as a “in-between.” It is very hydrating and I don’t feel a need to use a ton. It does leave a glow to your face after, but it’s subtle enough to still put makeup on afterwards and not feel overwhelming. Since it has so much collagen inside the product, I think it’s a great product to add if you want more collagen in your routine. Collagen is one of the major proteins inside our connective issue that we eventually lose with age. When you lose them, wrinkles start to form and skin starts to sag. The good thing is, you can always eat collagen or apply it to your skin like this product to help with your skin’s elasticity and try to keep it forever young. I think this product does a great job in getting more collagen into your skin and I have seen some results of the skin looking less dull and tighter. I do not use it often enough to see if it has a huge impact because I get a reaction to it. Overall, a good product if your skin is resilient!

It does dry out my skin a bit. When I first got the product, I used 1-2 (morning and night) pads everyday. Then I switched to 1 everyday or every other day. 
It can be wasteful since you’re using a pad everyday.

This is probably one of my favorite skincare products ever. I love them so much because it does an amazing job “scrubbing” off all the gunk while using toner in a two-in-one step. Picky says it’s a risky product for my skin type, but it works pretty well! It’s sitting at $31 on the site now, but I bought mine when it was on sale as a 3 for price of 2. 

💫 What is it?
- Dual textured toning pads used to exfoliate dead skin cells, regulate sebum and tighten pores. 
- It removes residue and gunk from the surface while hydrating it because it’s a toning pad. 
- It contains patented botanical formulas clinically proven to reduce sebum production and tighten pores. The website has all the data of its clinical trials with numbers that do show results. 
💫 It’s two sided! 
- The embossed side exfoliates dead skin, erases excess oil and removes impurities. After you used that side flip it over to the silky side to moisturize skin, manage skin texture and finish with smooth skin for a soft glow. 
💫 My thoughts: 
- It has a nice scent to it. More of a clean scent vice the typical floral smell most skincare products have. 
- It does an amazing job taking off all the gunk after a long day at work. (Especially if you skip the cleansing step and go straight into this. It’s a two-in-one step since it cleans&#47;removes the gunk on your skin and has toner in it so it’s perfect for when you want to be lazy or come home from a long day at work&#47;school) 
- I think it’ll work for all skin types since I usually have a reaction with new products (I’m dry&#47;sensitive type). 
- It’s clinically proven to tighten pores, so it’ll be a product someone who wants healthy looking skin without enlarged pores to try. 
- It comes with plastic tweezers on the top so it’s perfect to pinch off the one pad you’re using without having to stick your fingers in touching everything else inside.

I was really excited to use this cleanser since it was time to buy a new one. Unfortunately, I will not be using this again. 
This is because my skin was too sensitive for it and I ended up having a bad reaction and broke out with more pimples and hyperpigmentation on the pimple areas once it healed. The cleanser isn’t very thick. It’s pretty light. It reminds me of regular hand soap. After two weeks of using it, I did not have any good results. Only bad ones. It did not help with dullness or dryness.

Its a low pH (5.5) foam cleanser that I was excited to try, but ended up being something I no longer use. . 
I think it’d be a good product for someone who has resilient skin type and can afford to try something new on their skin. It does have a good scent though in my opinion. It sells for $20 right now on their website. 

🌼 It has a low pH (5.5) which is supposed to hydrate and the calendula flowers inside the cleanser cleans without the after-cleanse tightness. 
🌼 There’s actual calebdula flower petals inside, which I thought was pretty cool as it’s the big push on their advertisement. It’s rich in antioxidants and shown to help dullness. 
🌼 It has micro micellar bubbles which help clean deeper into the pores like makeup residue, oil and dead skin cells. 
🌼 People with resilient skin that have dull&#47;tired skin should give it a try.

I tend to use 1-2 everyday so It does create a bit of waste. I love seeing the flower petals inside the container (it shows real ingredients), but some of then are fairly large so I end up picking them off the face before moving onto the next step in my skincare routine.

These pads are super easy to use and honestly a time saver. If I’m feeling too lazy to double cleanse my face first thing in the morning or after a long day at work, these come in handy. The pads scrub off any excess dirt or sebum. Its super hydrating for a small toner pad and is very saturated to be enough for a one time use all over the face. It came in cute packaging (all Aprilskin products come in nice packaging as well.) I always use the rough side on the face first to remove all the dirt then flip it over for the smooth side to soak up the rest of the toner&#47;essence left on the pad. It’s a two step in one (“cleanser and toner”).
