I keep seeing people say ‘see a dermatologist’ but in the UK that’s not a normal thing to do unless there are skin tags, severe eczema etc. It sounds like most people elsewhere it’s a very routine thing to do though? How often do people with minor skin concerns see a dermatologist?

Is seeing a dermatologist a thing in your country?

I’m after some routine advice on behalf of my teen daughter. She is just getting interested in skincare so her routine is pretty light at the minute.

*Cerave Blemish Control Gel

She only very occasionally wears makeup so doesn’t need a full on double cleansing routine imho. Ideally a more teen friendly skin wash and a face cream that will go well alongside the Cerave as this seems to suit her skin a lot. Try and keep it simple (and a bit budget please 💰).

She has some breakouts due to hormones but I don’t want to go down the tret/retinol route in case of damaging the skin barrier.

I just received my Dr Ceuracle Pure VC giveaway for review and it felt like Christmas unwrapping it all! I’m looking forward to testing it all later 🧖‍♀️.

A bubble toner, dark spot cream, and set of ampoules. The bubble toner leaked slightly which is why it is ‘naked’ in the photo 😂. I think I was expecting smaller trial sizes give the cost. Was anyone else surprised?

Or does it depend on the primer? Some minimise pores (I’ll be honest and say I’ve no idea how) so that sounds more like skincare I’d want to do early in a routine but primer is just before foundation so I’m confused!

I kind of know you apply the thicker products last but if I was using oil where would that fit in with primer and do some products just mean you are cleaning off what you’ve just put on?

💚 I prefer a more moisturising face cream but it will be ideal in summer. I layered with jojoba oil for an extra boost.

💚Both the serum and cream have 5D multi Centella Asiatica extract. Centella is an ingredient to soothe and calm the skin leaving it balanced and I have used products with Centella in before but with different brands. They are clean & vegan according to the containers and are dermatologically tested for peace of mind.
💚 The face cream is a gel-cream texture and also feels cooling. It comes with a hygienic scoop to dispense the product but you only need a very small amount. 
💚 It very much reminded me of the watermelon sleep mask by Glow Recipe in terms of consistency and feel on the skin so I will definitely try it as a sleep mask in preference to a quick morning routine.
💚 A little goes a long way! You only need the smallest amount.
💚 I had no problems with reaction or blocked pores during the trial period. My skin felt balanced although I had no particular problems to solve.
💚 A great first try of Torriden for me and I’d give both products an 8/10.

💚 You can take out as little or as much as you want but being a clear gel it’s sometimes difficult to see there isn’t any in the pipette. 
💚 Long term I didn’t see much difference in my skin but it felt comfortable enough.

💚 The serum goes on smoothly and feels cool. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue and I used it before the cream. A little goes a loooong way!

〰️This a plastic bottle containing toner with liquorice and peony extract that will balance the skin pH.
〰️ I applied using my hands and also tried with a reusable bamboo wipe. I preferred using it as a splash on toner.
〰️ I did think the skin felt a little sticky afterwards but it did feel hydrated too. There were no negative effects.
〰️ It was easy to slot it into a routine either morning or evening. It didn’t feel like a big task but gave good instant results.
〰️ This was my first try of Acwell but it surprised me it is available from Sephora in the UK. I’d give them 9/10 #threeweektrial


💎 I was nervous about using retinol near the eye but there was no reaction so I felt like i could have applied more frequently. I didn’t want to go to far too quicky but this is a general downside to retinol and not specific to this product #threeweektrial

I received this product for free from Picky and SOME BY MI in exchange for my honest review. 
💎I used this in combination with a sunscreen from Somebymi because you should always wear a sunscreen when using retinol as may make the skin more sensitive. Retinol speeds up skin turn over so I know I had to go slow with this and I’ll admit that I was especially nervous around the eye area where skin is more delicate.
💎 The retinol is easy to dispense and I didn’t need a lot to cover the eye area (any excess I put on some age spots). The packaging was good and there was lots of information in different languages on the cardboard outer.
💎 The retinol is a cross between a cream and liquid and I patted it in very gently around my eye socket. It absorbed well.
💎 I used the retinol twice per week (after a patch test near my ear before using it near my eyes, just in case). I sandwiched the retinol with @corsix_official Peptide Emulsion (I had finished trialling) and my regular day cream (happened to be @torriden also from @picky!) to guard against peeling. Topped off with sunscreen although I wouldn’t normally take sunscreen that close to my eyes (maybe wrongly?).
💎 It was easy to slot this into my morning routine but I think I’d be more comfortable using the eye retinol as a twice per week night time treatment personally. I didn’t get any redness or dryness from using it. 

🪞 You can also use it as an intensive exfoliant by applying to damp skin and massaging any dead skin off before rinsing. I did try this method and it was effective but a daily application was a bit easier to fit into my routine.

🪞The essence comes in a plastic vial with a pump dispenser so you can dispense as much as you’d like to use.
🪞 Bean essence contains fermented soya beans, barley seeds and pear juice. Kombucha for the skin?
🪞 I applied the essence like I would a seurm onto damp skin and followed up with one of my regular moisturiser creams. This is an exfoliating essence so I wouldn’t combine with other actives and took it slowly doing every other day and sandwiching with good moisturisers.
🪞 The essence is quite sticky (vegan snail muchin I guess) but smelled fresh and fruity. It sunk into my skin very quickly.
🪞 My skin felt comfortable straight after use. I did notice some dryness from the exfoliation but it never irritated and reduced down to using twice per week. It is a good way to add an exfoliant into my routine. My skin was definitely smoother after the trial.
🪞 I’d give it 9/10 #threeweektrial
