I’m 20 years old and I have dry skin. I also have dermatitis (it’s mostly around my lips).

Does anyone have any suggestions about retinol? I’ve been interested in starting it for a while now and I wanted to hear some opinions first🥰 I’ll tag the products I read about, maybe some of you used it.

Where should I start with retinol?

My main issue is the SPF25: i wish it had a higher SPF, but this doesn’t mean it is a bad product, it just isn’t for me. While i’m looking for something with a higher SPF I’ll keep using this one to finish the product I still have.

I really like it, it moisturizes my skin in the morning and it has spf 25 in it, which is nice even if it’s not a lot. I finished 2 bottles of it, it doesn’t have a heavy feeling and it doesn’t leave anything a bad feeling on the skin. It also absorbs pretty quickly.

The only bad thing i can think of is that i can’t always find the 400ml bottle instead of the 200ml. This has seriously changed my skincare for the best.

I have dermatitis and dry skin, whenever i used cleansers my face would feel extremely dry and itchy. This one doesn’t hurt my skin (of course i have to put moisturizer on after using it, but it’s not neraly as bad as the others) and i have finished like three bottles of it.

I found them a bit difficult to put on, but when i figured out how it was easier.

This product is vey good. I love the cooling feeling it has, and it leaves my underwys hydrated and without irritation. I used them sometimes before makeup, but mostly after i removed my eye makeup when my undereye were particularly unhappy. They also dont slip around as much as i thought they would, they stay on pretty easily.

It does not smell pretty, it actually has a pretty bad smell, but it’s not untolerable. Also since I use it once a week it doesn’t bother me at all.

This product is very good. At first i was scared it was going to be too harsh for my skin, but it’s not and it gave me good results: I noticed I have less imperfections and texture.
 It stings a bit, but it’s not too uncomfortable. I usually apply this once a week, they recommend to use it no more than twice per week. 
This is obviously something that you have to apply carefully as it contains strong ingredients, but as long as you follow the instructions you will be golden. 
If you are worried this may be too much for your skin, try keeping it on for less than the recommended time, which is 10 minutes max. 
Another thing you have to be really careful about is applying this on dry skin: to make sure it’s completely dry, I wash my face with my cleanser and pat it dry with my towel, then I braid my hair for the night while I wait for my skin to dry completely. 
Since it contains ingredients that may increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun, I use it in my night routine (when I do I don’t apply any of my usual acids) and I make sure to always use SPF the following day.
