hi everyone! i'm fairly new to skincare and i want to include a toner/serum and/or an exfoliator into my routine. is there any good exfoliators and toners/serums for beginners to start with?
i haven't really experimented to see how sensitive my skin is, but i use retinol 2-3x a week at night and i'd say my skin is doing well! it clears up my skin a bit more. 

i have very oily acne prone skin especially near my t-zones and on my forehead. i have very textured skin and very visible pores and i'm trying to minimize the look of them. i also have hyperpigmentation as well as acne scars. 

i want to get that glassy skin look but ik it'll take some time. but pls any products to help me get started on my journey will help!

my current routine is just the cerave foaming facial cleanser, the resurfacing retinol serum, and their moisturizing cream. so far these three products have really helped with my oily acne prone skin!! however i'm afraid the moisturizing cream might be too heavy on me, but so far i haven't seen any negative changes. if i need to change any of these out let me know!!

hi everyone! i know i have a similar discussion post like this, but i'd like to talk about my skin issues more. last question of the day haha. 

this post is quite long, so i divided it into 3 parts. the last part is my other questions, feel free to answer those as well!

i've been scrolling on this app and looking through google for a while to help me look for specific ingredients to help me improve my skin and tackle my skin issues. i just want to hear from the oily skin beauties who have similar skin concerns as me on what they would suggest! 

1. my skin issues

my skin issues are texture, very visible pores + sebaceous filaments, hyperpigmentation, acne, and acne scars + dark spots. i'd also like to help calm down my oil production since i have very oily skin.
ik sebaceous filaments are normal and they're supposed to be there, but i would like to minimize the look of them as well as pores. i'll admit the main reason why i get acne is because i'm not drinking enough water daily and i touch my face (ik super bad! but i'm trying my best not to. i've stopped picking at my pimples, i just randomly touch my face)
i used to pick at my acne so much and i wish i didn't!! i have a lot of acne scars and it makes my skintone look uneven. 

2. what i'm looking for

i'm looking specifically for serums since i want to incorperate them into my routine, but recs for toners, exfoliants and cleansers will help as well! i'm also looking for brands and products more on the cheaper side ($8-$20 i would say is ok for me) so please include the price when you comment!

i heard niacinamide, salicylic acid, and bha exfoliant/toners help, but i don't know any good ones to start as a beginner. if there's any products/ingredients you'd recommend to start with please leave a comment!! any tips on how to introduce a new product to your skincare routine will also help. 

3. more questions

- should i use a hydrating serum or toner since my skin is dehydrated? if so what do u recommend? 
- what's the best way to tackle some of my skin issues?
- what's an ideal skincare routine for my skin issues/skin type?
- should i start using vit c? i heard it works well for people with similar skin concerns, but i've also heard it isn't recommended for younger people. i am mid-teenage so i get wary if i should even consider buying vit c.

ingredients i should look for to solve my skin issues? (in discussion post)

hi everyone! after all the thoughtful and helpful comments on my last 3 discussion posts and many times looking at reviews and researching, i've decided i'll try out the benton aloe bha toner and the anua heartleaf 77% toner to start! i'd also like to try out the vegan cica tea tree aha pha toner as well if the benton toner doesn't work out.

if these aren't very good beginner toners to start, please let me know and suggest different products!

but before i buy those products, i'd like to hear from the picky community on how their experience went with these two products.

i've seen people try the cosrx aha/bha toner and the numbuzin serum no.3 and they mostly have positive reviews. what are these skincare products mostly used for? (what skin issue do they tackle down more?)

 ik my questions could probably be answered very quickly with the look of the reviews and the description, but i'd like to hear from more people who had experience with these products!

more questions i have are:
- are they beginner friendly?
- are there any negative effects i should be wary of?
- how and when should i use them?

my skintype is very oily, acne prone and textured skin, as well as hyperpigmentation + acne scars. 
i would like to try out these products for myself, so if you recommend these for my skin type let me know!

opinions on cosrx aha/bha and numbuzin serum?

nothing bad! just be careful when you use it around your nose, if it goes in your nostrils it will burn a bit! just wash it off and it'll be good. 

i started getting into skincare about 2 1/2 months ago and this product saved my skin. i have very oily acne prone skin and i've seen major improvements on my face. my acne on my forehead has started to fade away after consistent use. i'm no expert but i'd say this is one of the best cleansers for beginners to use. 
i went through my first bottle already and im halfway on my second one. (fyi i live with my two other sisters that also use this cleanser so that's why it runs out so fast)
i would like to advance and try other cleansers in the future but in the meantime this is my fav product ❤️
