Not bad per se but it doesn't live up to its sebum control claims when used over hydrating toners/essences but that is understandable in my opinion. 

Dry skin types will need to use a moisturiser on top of this.

TL;DR: A great moisturiser option for oily skin. Lightweight, hydrating, non-sticky, fast-absorbing. 

Texture: Watery texture that immediately absorbs into skin. 

Finish: So this is tricky. I experimented and discovered that if I apply this over hydrating products (toners/essences), the finish is natural. But if I apply this on its own, the finish is matte. 

My experience: It's a good lightweight moisturiser for oily skin. It is sufficiently hydrating for oily skin and absorbs immediately. Spreads very easily. Doesn't leave a sticky feeling. It helps bring down inflammation of those big, under-the-skin, angry pimples due to its soothing properties which I love. Controls excessive sebum when used on its own. 

I might repurchase.

TL;DR: Lovely moisturiser for normal/oily/sensitive skin types. Lightweight and fast absorbing. Layers well. 

Texture: This emulsion has a gel cream type texture that feels watery upon absorbing into skin. 

Finish: The finish it slightly glowly but goes away after a while. 

My experience: Honestly finding moisturisers that work for oily skin without making you a grease ball or breaking you out is HARD. But this one ticks all the boxes. It's a nice fuss free moisturiser that will do its job perfectly. It absorbs fast, is lightweight, its non sticky, and makes your skin feel hydrated without feeling heavy. What more do us oily skin peeps want? 🤪 I would repurchase because this one's trustworthy. 

Not suitable for dry skin types, they might not find it hydrating enough. 

TL;DR: AMAZING for hydrating skin and good product specially for oily skin, dry skin types may not like.

Texture: It's super watery and when you pour it, it feels just like water but when you start working it into your skin you can feel the slight viscosity of the product. 

Finish: Leaves a healthy glowy finish on skin 

My experience: As someone with oily skin I'm usually skeptical of trying purely hyaluronic acid serums because they often make my skin feel greasy. But not this one! The light version of Hada Labo Gokujyun is super watery but absorbs very well into skin and leaves your skin feeling like it just drank a gallon of water. It even leaves a slightly glowy look. But keep in mind that this is supposed to be applied on damp skin and sealed with a moisturiser on top to gain maximum benefit of this product. 


The cons: it tends to be sticky. If you use too much it will get sticky so this won't work for the 7 skin method. Moreover, it oxidises TOOOO FAST. My bottle was oxidised before I even opened it 😂 It did work even after being oxidised but I can only imagine how great it would work if it wasn't oxidised. 

I think you can achieve similar results with other products so I wouldn't repurchase.

🌼 TL;DR: Decent hydrating toner. Lives up to its claims of brightness. Tends to get sticky.

🌼 What it is/Product Claims: A low pH toner that claims to brighten skin, smooth texture and make skin blemish free. 

🌼 Texture and finish: It's super watery and runny. Absorbs pretty fast unless you use too much. Finish is slightly glowy. 

🌼 My experience: Ok so I don't hate it but I don't love it either. The pros: it is hydrating and leaves you glowy. Didn't notice overall skin brightness but it does lighten dark spots or any post acne marks which is great for me since I have acne prone skin. I also did notice a difference in skin texture, with consistent use my skin got smoother and radiant. 




A classic for a reason! Makes it super easy and quick to remove makeup. I primarily use it to remove waterproof eyeliner/mascara because I don't like rubbing cleansing oil/balms in my eyes (they usually blur my eyes). I also use it to clean makeup along my hairline since we tend to forget that when washing our face. It does the job for both of these things really well!
