washing my hair takes me quite some time, and inevitably whatever skincare I have on my face gets washed away. so I think it would be better/smarter to do my skincare after I wash my hair? what do you guys do?

hi everyone!

I’m 26 and looking to focus on well-aging. I tried retinoids, but sadly they ALL flare my eczema around my lips. trust me i’ve already applied vaseline/cerave beforehand and it still irritates my lips. even bakuchiol too! 

I use sunscreen religiously and i’m trying to include skincare that will address fine lines and firming the skin. if anyone has any recs I’d greatly appreciate it 🫶🏾

ingredients for well aging other than retinoids?

alright y’all, I’m looking into japanese sunscreens because I feel like almost all of them are water and sweat resistant, which I do look for in a sunscreen. however, I’ve noticed that nearly all of them have alcohol and/or fragrance? I have dry skin and i’m sensitive to fragrance. I used the biore UV spf a few years ago and I absolutely hated it 😭

if y’all know of any AT LEAST fragrance free japanese sunscreens (I could at least deal with the alcohol and use hydrating/occlusive ingredients) I would love to know!

do ALL japanese sunscreens have alcohol and/or fragrance?!

I like to do mine before bed because I do cook when I get home so I wouldn’t want the smell to linger and stick to my skincare. what about you?

I bought this toner because everybdy was raving about it and I wanted to buy a cheaper one (I usually use laneige cream skin but I wanted to try something different).

I ordered it from amazon and it arrived pretty quick. the toner is kind of like a thick water with a maple syrup smell (is it weird that I like it?). 

this toner is really really good, I definitely have this as one of my HG products. it feels REALLY nice on my skin and I feel like it gives me a nice glow while properly hydrating my skin. I love this a lot

it’s honestly quite pricey, but so worth it in my opinion

one of my new holy grail moisturizers from P.CALM 🤍

🤍 this light but well moisturizing product contains the big three: ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids! these three ingredients are what makes up our skin, and by using this moisturizer rest assured your barrier will become stronger and healed!

🤍 you’ll also find glutathione and niacinamjde for brightening, centella extract for soothing, and squalane for emolliency (if that’s even a word 😂). the best part is that this is non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores! 

🤍 the texture is pretty light but still has some decent weight to it, making it ideal for all skin types. 

🤍 no fragrance which is always a giant plus for me since I am sensitive to it! 

🤍 I love how well this absorbs into my skin and really keeps it moisturized. I love to use this to layer my moisturizers these days since it’s getting colder. I will either apply this on top of my gel cream or under my heavier creams so my skin can really lock in the hydration and moisture.

the deep sea droplet serum is definitely new to me! the ingredients are about the same in the moisturizer, but you’ll also find snow mushroom capsules (how cool is that?) the texture is on the thicker side but absorbs into the skin so nicely! it spreads like WATER and the hydration level is seriously amazing. i’m definitely going to keep this in my routine for a while and probably repurchase 😍

I got these from olive young and they were a bit pricey, but they always have sales!

these toner pads are so innovative! the first thing you’ll notice is that it is serrated in the middle so that you can rip these in half to make DIY sheet masks! they can easily fit on your forehead and chin so that way you can really get all areas of your face covered!

another great thing about these pads is that they’re biodegradable, making them environmentally friendly!

within the toner pads you’ll find 11 different weights of hyaluronic acid, ensuring that your skin will be thoroughly hydrated. I can attest to this as a dry skin girl. 

the pads are also very sturdy and high quality! you can tell from holding them honestly; they’re on the thicker side and maybe it’s because I have the upper body strength of a chicken.. but the pads are just a TAD difficult to rip apart you definitely need to PULL on them 😂

all in all, these are very simple but unique toner pads. they’re perfect for all skin types and I really love these!

🤍 this is definitely brown/black skin friendly! I WILL SAY AT FIRST when you rub it in it looks like it will leave a white cast. IT GOES AWAY! it’s very easy to rub into the skin so you won’t have a hard time

🤍 it leaves behind this natural, satin finish on the skin. I usually prefer a dewy finish for my dry skin, but honestly I enjoy this sunscreen so much I don’t even care 

🤍 I think this is well suited for all skin types, but especially if you’re combo or dry. I am not sure how this would hold up in warmer months, it may be too much? I have been using this daily, but I especially like this for the colder season it feels like a nice hug on my skin. 

🤍 overall 5/5, I really love this sunscreen and it’s already back in my cart 🥰
