I’ve been using this sun cream daily for the past two weeks and while sunscreens don’t usually impress me, this one managed to do so pretty quickly because of how lightweight yet moisturising it is at the same time. It’s one of those sunscreens you don’t need to use a moisturiser with unless you’re of the very dry skin type. You can barely feel it on the skin & it sinks in in literally seconds giving you the most gorgeous glow ever.

• Zero white cast, the green hue disappears instantly when applied

I can’t say one bad thing about this product. It’s my holy grail for a reason. 

Who doesn’t know about this essence? It’s a viral cult-favourite for a reason and that reason is it’s amazing hydrating properties.

Before using this, I personally was used to more watery essences like the I’m From and the One Thing ones, but this has changed my mind. Now, I cannot do without this in my routine and using this essence along with @theordinary ‘s Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid serums has been a game changer.

𝙈𝙔 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙀
That’s a lot of mighty claims, isn’t it? But surprisingly, this essence has stood true to almost all of them for me.

I’m almost done with the bottle and I’ve found it to be quite hydrating and beneficial for my dry skin. It’s extremely soothing and while it doesn’t do much for fading hyperpigmentation, it’s definitely suited to sensitive, acne-prone skin and works very well with actives that do help with hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. Also, it preps your skin beautufully for makeup. 

It’s also parabens, ethanol, synthetic fragrances, synthetic surfactants and artificial colorants free and pretty much does what it says. 

After a month of using this regularly, I actually had someone tell me that my skin was glowing and I’ve never gotten compliments on my skin before. 

The essence has a slippery, smooth texture which, as you can see, seems very sticky but once applied on the face, the stickiness quickly subsides, leaving a natural glowy finish that’s non-tacky and non-greasy. It also leaves the skin pretty smooth and supple. 

Overall, for me, it’s not even a 9/10 but a 10/10. COSRX can take all of my money.

No cons in particular. It’s perfect for oily, sensitive skin types but dry, sensitive skin types may want to pair it with a thick, occlusive moisturiser especially in the winter. Also in my opinion, I found the I’m from Mugwort Essence slightly more effective than this one though I like the texture of the Isntree ampoule much better.

I totally love what this ampoule does for my irritation. Applying it feels like splashing my hot, itchy face with chilled water and it’s so relieving. 10/10 highly recommended! 

𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙎:
• Does what it says, pretty effective at quickly calming down irritated, dry, itchy, sensitive skin, even psoriasis abs leaves a very pleasant cooling sensation 
• Water-like yet smooth, comforting texture
• Absolutely non-sticky but quite hydrating
• Comes in a big 50ml packaging 
• Sturdy, reusable glass bottle 
• Has little to no scent of mugwort 
• Layers extremely well after toner and before more thicker serums

I didn’t really like the fact that it contains both alcohol and fragrance, something I don’t really prefer in sunscreens since I have sensitive skin and they tend to sting. This however, surprisingly didn’t sting my skin at all, but the minty scent was definitely a bit off-putting.


Innisfree Hyaluron Moist Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++

This sunscreen was sent to me by @maccaron_beauty and I was super curious to try it too considering it is the new version of the Innisfree Hyaluron Moist Sunscreen which I already own. 

If we talk about this new version, I would say there isn’t much of a difference in the formula. 

This is a great, non-greasy, lightweight, hydrating sunscreen that leaves no white cast at all for all skin types (except sensitive skin). 

Seeing how beautifully spreadable and soothing this formula is, I really wish @innisfreeofficial would launch an alcohol and fragrance free spf but if you’re someone who doesn’t really mind skincare with alcohol and fragrance, I think you would enjoy this. Especially, people with combination to oily skin would love this as this sunscreen contains some really amazing hydrating and anti-acne, skin brightening ingredients like Niacinamide and Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (a really stable form of Vitamin C) and also, doesn’t get greasy or sticky upon reapplication. 

Based on the overall feel and user experience of this sunscreen, this could easily have been holy grail material but falls just a bit short because of the presence of alcohol and fragrance.


Nothing. I can’t think of anything bad to say about this serum.

When I first added this to my cart I was honestly expecting to receive something with a face oil like consistency but after trying it out for the last one week, I must say that I’m thoroughly surprised. 

This is an oil serum’ that doesn’t feel oily at all. In fact, it’s more like a nourishing milky serum which seeps right into the skin and leaves it looking plump and refreshed. It’s also not sticky at all and in fact, feels quite light and almost watery on the skin. 

Noni, as an ingredient is not one that I’ve personally seen a lot in skincare products, but upon doing my research, I discovered that it actually has a lot of soothing and anti-aging properties. It not only acts as a natural aid to help the appearance of red, inflamed skin but is also a gentle exfoliant that maintains skin’s pH level, improves skin tone and has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. 

In my opinion, this is a great, affordable lightly moisturising milky serum to add into your skincare routine, especially if you have skin that’s on the drier side. It is an amazing hydration booster that keeps the skin feeling happy.
