Hi everyone! I am looking for a lightweight and calming moisturizer for my morning routine as I have run out of the iunik centella calming gel cream. I’ve seen good reviews about the Benton aloe propolis soothing gel so please let me know your thoughts if you’ve tried! But I am open to any suggestion:) For reference I have oily and acne prone skin. Thanks for your help!

Lightweight and calming

So I’ve always suffered from flushed, rosy cheeks and the condition worsens especially during the hot humid summers here in Taiwan. I don’t believe it’s rosacea as it is not that severe but it’s something that bothers me nonetheless. 

I’m asking for advice on how to calm my skin whether that be star ingredients to look for or holy-grail products that have helped you with soothing your skin.

Calming flushed skin

Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking about adding gua sha to my routine for a while now as at-home self care. However, researching the method online has led me less than sure about the efficacy and legitimacy of this technique. Has anyone experience drastic benefits after using gua sha? Or is it just overhyped? Let me know your thoughts and thanks for sharing!

Gua sha or gua nah?

Hi everyone! I’ve been looking to try a new vitamin c serum but found that either the prices were too steep, they were cheap but ineffective, or that they were difficult to find in Canada. Can you guys help me out and drop some suggestions for affordable 
and effective vit c serums that are also accessible? Many thanks in advance!

Nothing bad, just note that this has a much higer concentration than usual otc azelaic acids so people with sensitive skin might want to start using something else.

For me, this prescription azelaic acid has done wonders for my skin! Being of such high concentration it still causes me some tingling after applucation but nothing too irritating. This is not a product that shows results fast, and it takes a long period of consistent use to see any change. After a couple months of using 2-3 times a week at night, combined with using retinol on alternating nights, my scars have almost all faded away!

Depending on how wet your face is when applying, it might take a while to fully absorb. I also didn’t notice any “life-changing” effects but it still does its job.

This was my first ever bottle of hyaluronic acid and I think this is what I’ll continue purchasing for years to come! This is a very affordable option especially considering the amount product you get, I think its great for anyone trying hyaluronic acid for the first time. It’s a basic, but well-formulated serum that locks in moisture well; I like to use this right after I apply toner when my face is still damp to make use of the properties of this ingredient. This has become a staple in my morning and night routine!

For oily skin types, it might look a bit too glowly. There’s also alcohol and fragrance for anyone sensitive.

I decided to give this sunscreen a try after I really enjoyed the their watery essence. This was fairly different from that one in terms of texture and application, the light up essence is more of a cream than the watery essence and leaves a white cast initially. This sunscreen’s marketed to have a tone up effect and it does give a glowy finish to the face after application, more so than the watery essence. I enjoyed this sunscreen a lot as a body sunscreen as the sparkly effect looks more natural on the body.

It is on the heavier side so that’s something to keep in mind. This might also cause comodonal acne for some.

When I first started talking accutane my skin dried up and flakes were coming off; being someone with oily skin, I only had oil-free moisturizers on hand but they were no longer doing anything for me. After researching online, I found this moisturizer and IT SAVED MY SKIN! No more flakes throughout the day and my skin was fully moisturized. Even as I’m winding down on my accutane treatment, I still use this moisturizer.
