This year I’ve finally gotten rid of my acne with bha/aha’s and I’ve been using retinol for the past 6 months for my acne scars and my skin has improved A LOT. 
I’m currently targeting scars and hyperpigmentation with azelaic acid and i’m still using bha from time to time. I stopped using retinol because my product just expired so my question is......
1. should I keep doing the actives during the summer knowning my skin is very likely to get damaged from the sun/sea salt/heat/pools (even if i’m wearing spf)?
2. should I repurchase retinol or come back to it after the summer?

or should I keep it simple and do hydrating and soothing routines even though I might start to breakout again and not get rid of my scars?

(all this is for night-time btw. my day-time is not too harsh atm)

does anyone have tips on rosehip oil for combination-oily acne-proneskin? i want to start using it to use it with my gua-sha and also bc i’ve heard it’s great for dermaplaning routines (applying it before and after shaving) and it targets hyperpigmentation but i’m afraid it’ll make my skin feel super oily and uncomfortable.

rosehip oil for oily acne-prone skin?

the brand recommends to use the product everyday and also in the mornings which i don’t recommend AT ALL as bha’s mixed with the sun can lead to really bad sun damaged skin and also using this daily is just a recipie for overexfoliation (with 3&#47;4x week should be mire than enough)

nothing bad to say about the product itself, just a quick disclaimer for the product’s instructions

A HOLY GRAIL. i used this for about 3 months which is when bha’s reach their peak and wow. i wanted to give my skin the “final push” after incorporating retinol into my routine four months prior to get rid of my acne and target large pores once and for all and it’s definitely made a huge different. not only can you tell the difference comparing before and after pictures but the night you use it, you wake up GLOWING.
i used this product 3 nights per week (the ones i wasn’t using retinol) and i kept it simple with just a moisturiser on top to not “agitate” my skin too much.
i’d recomend waiting for about 20 minutes if you can, to let the product really sink in before your moisturiser.

ALSO!!! i got the 4 fl.oz size and would’ve gotten a smaller one cause i’m “done” using it as part of my daily routine and in three months it’s not even half way empty so i’d definitely recommend buying the travel size (1 fl.oz) cause if you rationalise well the product it can last you for the three months tops that works (if that makes sense sorry for my english)

The smell reminds me a bit of beetroot lol but it’s nothing too bad

Leaves your skin inmediately soft. Be cautious with how you use it because it’s a very powerful product. PATCH TEST! 
Tip: I use this once a week when I want to rest my skin from using too many actives throughout it, so that way I can still get that chemical exfoliation and prevent any more breakouts (when I’ve already more or less got rid of them) while reparing my skin barrier🥳

this has been my go-to moisturiser for about three years now! texture is so light weight and it absorbs incredibly fast so for oily&#47;combination skins it’s a great option for any season. 
tip: you can also use it for split ends and your cuticles:)

removes any dirt and spf in SECONDS. really smooth texture and it lasts a long time. i don’t usually wear make-up but the times i have it’s removed everything completely (plus rinsing with the water-based cleanser) after rubbing for not longer than when i’m not wearing make-up.
