Hello Pickies!

As you can guess from the title, yes I received broken item from The Potions; specifically the hyaluronic acid serum. My bad that I didnt record any unboxing video to provide a much better evidence.

The HA bottle was completely broken and shattered when I unboxed the package. The serums were placed in a huge box without any protection. There is only this sleeve box that holds all 3 serums together. 

As you can see, the sleeve box had some wet mark. But I'm amazed that the pipette is still intact with the bottle mouth 🤣

I just thought that maybe the brand would at least provide some protection for their products especially if it involve fragile items. And I hope none of you guys would experiencr the same thing I'm experiencing right now 🥺

Hello people 😊 This is just a discussion on cleansing wipes and I would love to hear your answer.

Do you use cleansing wipes to remove your makeup and sunscreen? Or do you prefer double cleansing using cleansing oil/balm/micellar water?

I double cleanse using cleansing oil first and face wash later. I was quite skeptical at first about double cleansing but when I tried, I felt like my skin is much more clean and soft. This is a game changer for my skin.

Differ from cleansing wipes, a lot of people (skin experts and esthetician) does not recommend us to use it. They said cleansing wipes did breakdown your makeups but it will only "push" the dirts into our pores instead of removing it completely. So I never use cleansing wipes. Not to mention, cleansing wipes are harsh and will eventually make our skin strips. They also contribute to environmental waste.

I am looking forward to try new toner. I would like to ask for your reviews on these toners. 

Have you ever tried either one of them? If yes, which one would you recommend for oily, acne-prone skin? If no, can you suggest any toner that you used/recommend? Thank you 😊

Toner

Nothing particular bad. I recommend you to try trial size before purchasing the normal size to see if it works for your skin.

A holy grail especially for my oily skin. It is mattifying and makes my skin appear less shiny. As it is fluid, the application is easy and absorbs faster than regular creamy sunscreen.

As much as I like the ampoule that comes with the mask, I really dislike the strong "botanical" smell from it. A downside, it leaves my face very sticky and dries up slowly.

The mask claims that the highly enriched face mask hydrates skin instantly and soothes irritated skin with the presence of botanical ingredients.

I assumed that the ampoule used for this mask is the same as the bottled ampoule but was totally wrong! They actually differ from each other as the ingredients are different. But both product deliver the same effect. The sheet mask itself is quite thick and fits my face perfectly! 


Nothing bad particularly. But if you wanted to try this for the first time, do a patch test first to see your skin reaction. Never over exfoliate as it may strip your skin.

I love this exfoliating toner as it does not dry up my skin too much despite its % where it could be too high for some people.

Nothing bad about this product but I don&#39;t like that the new bottle cap is slightly misaligned. The serum sometimes creeps up at the bottle mouth if I put back the pipette inside and usually leaves white residue.

I love this thing as it control my oil production. I&#39;ve used about 5 bottles and it lasts me about 2-3 months for each bottle.

Nothing bad about this product. Just that I wish it could come in a much bigger size in the future, 200-250ml maybe 🤣😂

A holy grail for me! I&#39;ve been dealing with a lot of acne scars before I met this essence. Some of the scars that I had before was from a breakout that I had last year and I had a very hard time trying to regain my normal skin complexion. After I finished a bottle of this essence, my acne scars had faded and the area on my skin had brightened. 

The essence is watery and is suitable to use as a daily toner. I used it both in my AM&amp;PM routine. It has some decent smell but they are not strong at all. It comes in a quite big size at 120ml and it lasts me about 2-3 months per bottle.
