I haven’t tried retinol yet but have been curious about it! I have been looking at The Ordinary and The Inkey List... someone recommended Pacifica even. I don’t know what’s good and where to start! 

How has everyone’s experience been? Does anyone have any recommendations for a low concentration retinol product for beginners?

For reference, I have normal to dry (currently on the drier side), sensitive skin

Retinol for Beginners

It’s thick consistency makes it a little difficult to squeeze out of the tube

I have been using this day and night as a cleanser and second cleanser if I am double cleansing at night

This has a thick cream consistency that turns into this wonderful lightweight micro foam when you add water! The lather really is quite lovely!

It’s gentle on the skin and refreshing. It’s easy to rinse off and leaves no residue behind - just fresh, clean skin that doesn’t feel tight. This is great for all skin types including sensitive skin 

Overall, I have been happy with this product! I find it works well!

The price is quite high. This is definitely a splurge product for me.

This worked wonders for my undereyes! It’s very moisturizing and I noticed a difference shortly after I started using it. The puffiness went dkwn and it wasn’t as dark. Great stuff!

I have been using this for a few months now and I think it’s great! It’s very lightweight, it doesn’t leave a white cast, and it’s fragrance free. It has a gel texture and is very easy to apply. It feels very comfortable and isn’t drying at all! Overall, I found that it works well and its a great quality product. Great even for sensitive skin

Can’t think of anything - it’s great!

This is an anti-aging cream that helps fatigued skin, fade scars, and improve skin elasticity. Ingredients include 58% black snail extract, cantella asiatica leaf water and extract, mugwort, ginkogo and rosehip. 

After using this for the last week, I am so happy with this moisturizer! You can literally feel the moisture as it hits your skin and it lasts all day. It has a thick but lightweight texture which I like. It absorbs quickly and isn’t sticky or tacky. I will continue to use this one for sure! 🐌

I love that this is cruelty free and doesn’t include sulfates, parabens, fragrances, and alcohol in their formulation 🙌🏼

To use the product, I have to shake it out onto my hand due to the thicker consistency. I do wish it had a pump so it would be easier to get the product out

This essence toner is in a frosted glass bottle that looks simple yet elegant. Just absolutely beautiful! 

The concept of being a toner and an essence is unique. It has a thick gel consistency which turns into a watery texture that isn’t sticky. It feels amazing on my skin. It absorbs so quickly and feels so lightweight. My skin feels hydrated and silky soft when I use this - I love it! I will definitely keep using this when my skin feels like it needs additional moisture. It’s also great for daily use to ensure your skin stays hydrated. Add a moisturizer if you have really dry or dehydrated skin

This is definitely something I would repurchase when I run out - I’m so impressed!
