I had my Wishtrend shopping cart ready and was in the middle of filling out the Picky form to convert my points over for $50 credit, and then all of a sudden time changed and now it’s too late to use my picky points to shop. I’m devastated! 

I kept trying to do this earlier a couple of days ago, but my whole family of 5 has been battling what we thought was covid (turned out to be the flu!) for the last 2 weeks. To add to that I’ve been losing ig followers since I’ve been too sick to post/ or too busy caring for my sick family. Doesn’t it seem that all of the bad things happen all at the same time?

I’m so sorry to complain. I’m not usually someone to whine and mope about, but this bummed me out. Thanks for listening!

I’m so sad! {Wishtrend/ Picky Points}

As much as I love and adore Picky (I spend what too much time here, haha), there’s just one single thing that I think could be changed and that’s this:

I noticed something odd whenever I went back in to edit a review of mine—> I noticed the picture in my Picky review did not look quite like what I submitted. It appeared to be smaller, as if it was cropped randomly to fit their square picture size. If I would have known this would happen in all of the reviews/ pictures I’ve submitted, then I would have either chosen different pics or cropped them myself. I try really hard to take good photos of the product, packaging, and texture so it is a little frustrating when the picture I’ve taken & submitted has been changed/ cropped. That means the aesthetic I worked so hard for doesn’t shine through, plus I think the brands would prefer the original pics... 

QUESTION:  Are your review photos being cropped automatically after you submit them?


I figured I would post this here because Picky is so great at listening to us if we have an issue or if we want to give feedback.
—> Dear Picky: Will you either 1.) Give us the option to crop/ enlarge our pics within your app so we can fit your photo size requirements, or 2.) Allow all photos (regardless of size/ shape) to fit without you automatically cropping them? It would make for better brand & review photos! :)

Picky Crops Our Review Pics?

Hello! I have always faithfully used toners and been happy, until I began using a Shiseido essence over 10 years ago (once it was discontinued I went back to regular toners because essences were not as prominent then). Since then I’ve found some essences I’ve really liked in the last year to 2 years, one being the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence. 

PLEASE SHARE WITH ME:  what Essence recommendations do you have for me? {I’m 45 with very few fine lines, normal to dry skin with a little bit larger pores in my T-zone. I get shiny there, but not oily.}

I found no faults&#47; cons for this product.

This is a low irritant &amp; mild acid cream-to-foam cleanser that is thick, creamy, and lightly moisturizing. Upon the addition of water it creates a creamy, foamy lather that cleanses my skin beautifully. It rinses clean to soothe &amp; never strip my skin. I quite enjoyed this and will repurchase.

The glassy appearance looks more like im shiny&#47; oily.

The scent is intoxicating &amp; the balm feels heavenly on my hands. It feels nice on the skin, but might feel a little too thick to use it under makeup. So far I’ve only been using it as my last skincare step.

This balm does lend a shiny, glass-like look to my face and it makes my face feel quite soft. The downside is the glassy appearance can also translate as an oil slick on my face. I had high hopes for this Glassy Skin Balm, but it fell a tad short. I’ll probably use the rest of it on my upper arms and legs insyead of on my face.

It can pill up sometimes if you don’t let your skincare dry first, and then be sure to let the spf dry before applying makeup or it may pill.

I’ve been gone on vacation and Versed’s Guard’s Up Daily Mineral Sunscreen has been HUGE in keeping my face + neck protected from the sun when I’m on the beach, at the pool, shopping, or just hanging out. Plus it also guards against pollution and blue light. We love a broad spectrum product that ticks all the boxes! Guard’s Up feels like a creamy, lightweight moisturizer, and I love that it does not leave a chalky white caste like most mineral sunscreens I’ve used in the past. It’s a winner!

The cleanser irritated my skin, causing a prickly red rash &amp; lots of whiteheads. I suspect the culprit is primarily chlorhexidine (a surgical cleansing soap- too harsh for the face), but it could be the combo of salicylic acid, vitamin C, vitamin tree, &amp; essential oil that is too rough&#47; harsh on my face, neck, &amp; chest. 

I discontinued cleansing with this after several uses in order to determine if the irritation I experienced was coming from this or from the All Day Vitamin Serum. By eliminating each of the products and inserting only 1 into my regular nighttime routine for several days at a time, I determined the cause of the rash&#47; most of the whiteheads was from the cleanser. 

The serum does give me the tiniest whiteheads by the time I wake up in the morning, but its maybe 3-6 in total. I am going to give it a little more time to see if my skin becomes accustomed to it without giving me whiteheads before I discontinue use entirely.

Low pH cleanser that nourishes, soothes, + brightens skin. Cleanses pores to make them appear smaller.
Has anti-aging + antibacterial properties, balances skin &amp; regulates sebum production. 
Is a semi-thick gel consistency that lathers &amp; rinses well leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean initially.
These are the good things, but this product caused me to have a prickly red rash and whiteheads, so I assigned it 1 star.

Absolutely nothing bad about this product.

I love these properties of this toner:
* 7 kinds of hyaluronic acid &amp; ceramides to deeply hydrate &amp; fortify the moisture barrier against transepidermal water loss.
*Tons of ingredients to soothe, calm, nourish, and replenish lost moisture, vitamins, minerals, elasticity, &amp; firmness.
*I was so happy when I saw it contains centella asiatica &amp; its derivatives, glasswort, beta glucan, sunflower&#47; Argan&#47; camellia oil because I knew it would be fabulous for my skin.

This toner feels like really thick water droplets &amp; has a gel-like consistency. I apply it with my hands my smoothing it across my face, neck, &amp; chest &amp; then pat into the skin.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Water Full Hyaluronic Acid Toner!
