Hey I was wondering what is everyone’s favorite treatments, serums, oils, etc for rebuilding and helping restore your skin barrier. Sometimes I get redness on my face and on my forehead the skin gets inflamed and is sensitive. What’s some good products or ingredients I could use to help with this ? My skin type is dry/sensitive and I have eczema but no eczema on my face usually.

Is it okay to use benzoyl peroxide wash 10% in the shower on my boyfriends back then use 2% salicylic acid spray after the shower on his back ? Not directly after the shower but usually after 3-5 hours he uses the spray on his back. Is both fine in this situation to use ? Also the 10% benzoyl peroxide is fine with him, no irritation or anything. We’ve been using the benzoyl peroxide for months but just recently gotten the salicylic acid spray because results haven’t been what we wanted.

What are some good oil cleansers for combination/sensitive skin ? I just started using the salicylic acid renewing cerave cleanser in the morning and the vani cream gentle facial cleanser at night. I’ve started breaking out more and I don’t think using just a water based cleanser is cutting it. I’ve heard double cleansing is better for acne and wanted to start using a oil cleanser that’s not that expensive but still really good. Whenever I wash my skin my skin feels dry almost everywhere except my forehead and nose. I also have blackheads/sebaceous filaments on my nose I would like to minimize the appearance of. Recommendations that have actually been used would be appreciated.

Best oil cleansers for combination/sensitive skin

Hi my skin is usually very dry/sensitive everywhere. This year my forehead has started to get considerably more oily than ever before. My skin is still very sensitive, but I don’t want to use a cleanser specifically for oily skin because the rest of my face is dry. What would you recommend ? Also maybe some toners or serum recommendations would be good as well as any moisturizers.

Usually my skin is pretty clear but in the past 2 days these small bumps have appeared on my forehead. It’s not like acne and I’m pretty sure they are clogged pores. I have dry/sensitive skin so maybe I should exfoliate with pha? I also get eczema not usually on my face though but I’ve noticed small bumps on my thighs too so maybe it’s related. What products should I use?

Nothing bad about this! I would defintely try this moisturizer if you have dry&#47;sensitive skin or combo skin. Great moisturizer all-around.

My favorite moisturizer I’ve tried yet! Its not too heavy but heavier than say the cerave pm moisturizer. That one would make my skin burn sometimes but this one doesnt at all. Pretty good size bottle too. Not expensive and worth every cent.

The whitecast it leaves on your face is pretty visible even for pretty pale people like me. Also did not always heal my eczema when it would break out like i thoight it would. Also I have to use a lot more than i would if i were using a lotion since it is creamier which i like since my skin is dry but since the tube it comes in is not very big i used up a lot of it in the first month of using it alone. For the price I think the tube should be bigger.

I liked this balm considering my skin is dry and senstive. I also have eczema and put it on my eczema when it would get bad on my hand. Sometimes it would not do anything for it but i noticed after a couple of weeks it did help some. I put it on my face and it has a whitecast to it and im pretty pale skinned. I like the creaminess of it but it seems like it does not spread as much over your skin as far as area as i would like it to. I have to use more than what I would need using for example aveeno lotion. I think it is good for a repair balm for night time and on your body but for me and my eczema sometimes it did not do anything for it. I think its worth trying but not my absolute favorite product.
