I've had blackheads for as long as I can remember. They're everywhere but they cluster really bad  towards the edges of my face (temples, jawline, cheeks near my hairline). On top of that, my pores are enormous. I've been using BHAs since I was a teen, AHAs don't seem to do a ton, I have azelaic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin c, and tea tree in rotation all the time. I've tried snail secretion and retinol, both gave me violently painful cystic acne. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, nothing seems to clean out these pores. I keep having issues with recurring closed comedones and it's making me nuts. Granted this is the best my skin has ever looked but this has been bothering me since I was like 11 and nothing has seemed to make it go away. If y'all have suggestions, I am all ears.

I've had varying luck with different body washes (I have a moisturizer that works just fine but it's just okay and doesn't change that certain body washes just mess me up). So far the ones that feel almost like lotions such as the sheamoisture purple rice and the manuka honey and yogurt body washes have yielded the best results. I almost never even need a moisturizer after. I prefer the purple rice one by a lot but the stores near me are almost always out of stock. I think shea butter is the go to ingredient for me in this regard, but I'd love some suggestions on affordable body washes that can help with the dry, papery texture (which is equally due to eczema and joint hypermobility which affects skin resilience) and constant discoloration.

So I'm gonna be honest, I've never seen the point in a twice daily routine, especially since over-washing can further dehydrate/aggravate skin. Moreso because my skincare routine largely takes place in the shower and I only shower once a day at night. I get out and finish my routine after while my skin is still damp. The most I'll do in the morning is just scrubbing with cold water on the face (mostly to wake up) and maybe some spot treatments or moisturizer if it feels like I need it. I spend less than an hour a day outside since I work indoors and have no reason to be outside other than minor travel to and from work or home (don't @ me, outside is hard for me) so there's really nothing for me to apply anyways. I tend to try and keep my routine as simple as possible anyways, but I guess I'm asking if I'm wrong? Is this responsible for my clogged, large pores? Literally nothing I do seems to unclog them, even though I have chemical exfoliants as a part of my routine. Do I really need 2 separate routines?

Are there any apps like this one or cherie that also include body and hair care? I have an Android so that does limit my options a bit, but I'm dying for advice and this app just doesn't seem to have much in the way of either of those categories.

Tbh the only bad things are that you can go through it kinda quickly but for $3-$6 a bottle, I&#39;m honestly not too worried. The other thing is if you use a tool to wash your face (silicone scrubber, wash cloth, facial sponge, etc) it doesn&#39;t spread very well without help. I put a little on my face and then apply some to my silicone scrubber and gently massage to combat this, otherwise it just drags against the skin. Seriously tho, minor issues that are at worst inconvenient. Get this.

My skin is so soft. I have literally never had my face feel so so soft and smooth. I have almost completely mixed break outs, the hyperpigmentation is starting to fade (big deal for POC, especially paler mixed ones like me), and my skin is notably brighter. And that&#39;s just as a cleanser. I use it daily in the shower. As a mask I use it maybe 2 times a week. It&#39;s great there too. Same pros as before but the results for pore reduction are almost instantly noticeable.

Cons. It&#39;s a weird texture and drips all over the place if you&#39;re not careful. Kinda like runny shampoo? It can make a mess when you first open it so just be aware. I was not and spilled all over my counter.

Pros. My pores have never looked better, there&#39;s no smell, my face looks brighter and fresher in the morning, and there&#39;s no irritation or breakouts for me, which is a big deal because I&#39;ve struggled with eczema and skin that breaks out if you look at it wrong my whole life. If you&#39;re oily and&#47;or sensitive, try this. It lasts forever. I bought this like 3 months ago and still haven&#39;t made a dent in my supply, which I will hoard like a dragon atop a pile of gold.

Broke me TF out. Gave me massive patches of cystic acne all up and down my jawline that made it painful to lie down. And they went sooooo deep. Like literally nothing would bring them to a head, not even acne patches. I had one get so infected that it took out a quarter size patch of skin. Like just decimated my skin. At first I thought it could just be purging, I know that happens and retinol takes some time to see benefits. I waited. Damn near 8 weeks. And the entire time my face just hated me. My mask resting against my face ached. I&#39;m never doing retinol again. I don&#39;t think it has anything to do with this product but everything to do with retinol. Derma e is a good brand in general so I really doubt it was something wrong with the product itself and everything to do with my skin bein a lil bitch.

To be very fair, this was very moisturizing, controlled oil almost immediately, and made my skin feel smooth.

It's on the thick side and doesn't spread very easily. I'd recommend the dot method (take a little on your finger tip and tap it to center forehead, tip of nose, each check, and chin, add extra spots if it really won't spread well) but I haven't tried it myself yet, but I imagine it'll help. I've also heard it pills up but I have yet to encounter it. I put it on before anything else after getting out of the shower and don't wear makeup so YMMV.

Literally picked this up on Friday, already seeing a bunch of my fresher dark spots and scarring heal up and fade. Likely has less to do with this product specifically and more to do with my skin really liking azelaic acid, but for something I can use daily that is readily available near me and very affordable, I'm pretty happy about this product.

I honestly don't think it's done anything but maintain the status quo for my skin, which isn't necessarily bad since my skin's "normal" is mostly fine, but it certainly hasn't done anything especially notable to its benefit either. So I'm basically paying $12-$15 for it do nothing. Also has a reeeeaally strong smell that I'm not particularly fond of.

This is...fine. It hasn't made my skin worse, as far as I can tell. Ingredients all check out. It's a weird but kinda nice texture. Will probably last a long time.
